wow, you did an amazing job.

sucks about the hissing and such. i wonder if I could get this kind of thing set up with my axim....with wireless


whats really stopped me is the fact that i have no way to input to my stereo. its a goddamn blaupunkt and you need a special hardness for input which i dont have no can I find anymore (long been discontinued model). FM transmitters suck for me. I might just hook up a modulator since the antenna is right next to my trunk

you dont say how the computer is secured, is it?

I got my 5500 and I love it, only problem is, I have to tap it with my finger since it didn't come with a stylus, and my old one broke!

Um, I dont know what a fair price for a piece of plastic is, heck shipping is $0.50 in a reenforced envelope. I can't afford a lot, so be nice

Bump

al_do thought it was a good idea to tell me hed sell it for 25 euro along with shipping to US, and that he was "checking the costs"...then he informs me that he put it on an ebay auction, on the italian site (which I dont think I can even bid on), I tell him I'd bid but I dont know the prices...he goes to "check them out" and never, ever gets back to me. Auction ends for 35E. I missed out on a huge savings over having to buy a complete unit from someone else. A good example of how not to be a trader.


SOMEONE has to have a broken unit theyll part with.

5x00 Hardware / Busted Screen - Need Replacement

My friend gave me his 5500 because hes, well, according to him, it was in his pocket, he took it out to use it, and the screen was busted. which means he sat on it

I need a new screen. Does anyone know where I can buy JUST a screen? Ebay doesnt have any broken models for sale, only completly working. Someone on these forums is parting out a broken 5500 but I might be too late for that. Help is greatly appreciated, I want to see this thing work
