I have a 100% working SL-5000d (the "developer version" of the SL-5500, complete with many accessories (CF, SD, battery, camera card, power supply, external IR keyboard etc. etc.) that I would like to trade for a CLEAN and WORKING vintage Hewlett Packard calculator from the following list. It must be working:

HP-67, HP-65, HP-55, HP-45, HP-19c

Contact me if you're interested, I have pics etc.

C1000/3x00 General discussions / Sl-c3200 Touchscreen Issue
« on: March 23, 2009, 12:28:13 pm »
I rebooted my SL-C3200 after the battery was drained too far, and after boot-up everything is working fine EXCEPT the touch screen will not respond at all. I had this happen some time ago on the Sharp ROM (I'm running Cacko 1.23 these days) and as I recall reloading the ROM (Cacko) solved it. I'm going to do the same again, but I'm sure there is just some little setting somewhere that needs to be tickled? Can anyone point me to that?

thanks

C1000/3x00 General discussions / Vnc Server On 3200 - Problems
« on: August 22, 2007, 06:43:28 pm »
I wanted to use VNC to put my 3200 screen on my WinXP desktop (like I used to do successfully with my trusty 5000d   ). Loaded fbvncserver-c3000_0.9.4-0.2.arm.ipk as best candidate for Z, and Real VNC on the PC.

Problems:

1. VNC on the Z causes the touch screen not to respond at all. I couldn't get it working again except by un-installing the package entirely. Server *appears* to be running on the Z and flashes the screen etc.
2. Real VNC will show the "please wait" screen of the Z while server is initializing, but then only a blank screen after that.

Can anyone with a 3200 and successfully using VNC please give me some tips?

Cheers -

C1000/3x00 General discussions / F1-f10 Function Keys For Console Apps?
« on: October 08, 2006, 12:07:29 am »
I need to run some console apps that need F1-F10 keys and I can't figure out how to generate these - can anyone help? I am running Cacko on a SL-C3200 with Embedded Konsole. I have Keyhelper but I can't figure if that can do it (or what the required codes are).

thanks

Sharp ROMs / Can't Nand Flash Restore On My 3200?

Thanks, I will try that. I thought about it, but couldn't do it with my 256MB card. Oh well, just the excuse I need to buy something bigger

Sharp ROMs / Can't Nand Flash Restore On My 3200?

Thanks for the hint. I've seen a lot in the past about Zaurii sensitivities to CF (and SD) cards, just thought I had ones they liked! I'll try another!

Sharp ROMs / Can't Nand Flash Restore On My 3200?
« on: May 30, 2006, 05:55:02 pm »
Adf - thanks for the attention - here we go:

- It is a genuine CF card, not micro-drive. I've used the card successfully in the 3200 to move files back and forth (a lot). Also used in my 5000d for a long time.
- formatted FAT, not FAT32
- I did use windows, but checked that the file name is correct.

I kinda jumped over this problem for the time being as Cacko for the 3200 was released TODAY and I've installed it and everything is working 100%. I'll still need to solve this problem for the future, tho'

Thanks

Sharp ROMs / Can't Nand Flash Restore On My 3200?
« on: May 30, 2006, 04:19:36 pm »
I'm trying to do a NAND flash restore on my 3200 and no matter what I do I get the following message:

"file:SYSTC3200.DBK
not exist file"

I'm attempting to restore the 3200 English DBK from the Conics site, which is named "SYSTC320.DBK". I've tried renaming the file (to "..3200..") and as-is. Same error message. I've put it in the root of the (freshly FAT formatted) 256MB CF, and also tried it in directories on the CF: /Backup_Files, and in /Documents/Backup_Files. Same error message.

I made my own NAND backup to see what and where the file went, and it was in the root of the CF and named "SYSTC320.DBK", just like the Conics file (but not like the 3200 restore screen).

What am I doing wrong????

PS I've posted in the last few days that my touch screen stopped responding (stock Sharp ROM) after I had a failed install of Kino. I successfully restored an image from Cresho via the GUI Backup/Restore app, but it doesn't fix the touch screen problem, so I'm guessing the problem is "deep" in the NAND? If anyone can give me clues how to fix this an other way I'd appreciate that, too :-)

TIA

Sharp ROMs / Help With Sl-c3200 - Touch Screen ?
« on: May 30, 2006, 04:11:13 pm »
Cresho - thank you - I was able to use your backup and restore it - however my 3200 still does not respond to touch screen, so problem must be deeper (it does respond in diagnostics)?? I found a NAND restore image (Conics site) but CANNOT get the NAND restore to work... I'll post another topic on this....

Thanks again for your help

Sharp ROMs / Help With Sl-c3200 - Touch Screen ?
« on: May 28, 2006, 03:16:06 am »
Had my 3200 one week (love it!) - upgraded from 5000d finally! - and after an aborted Kino install ("ipkg said something went wrong sorry") and forced reboot the unit does not respond to touch screen. I can use it via keyboard, but that's obviously not going to work... And of course I don't have a backup :-/ Help requested:

1. Source of ready-to-install English Sharp ROM?
2. Thoughts on why the touch screen quit (it works via diagnostics so it's definitely not hardware ;-) )? And how to fix it??
3. Cacko install (Cacko 1.23 rejects the 3200 model number as discussed in the 3200 Cacko thread)?

TIA

Sharp ROMs / Cacko Rom 1.23 For Sl-c3200
« on: May 28, 2006, 02:49:26 am »
Hi All - I got my beautiful C3200 this week and have been having fun with it. While installing Kino it forgot how the touch screen works so now I'm looking to fix it (any ideas??). One nice "fix" would be Cacko 1.23 but it won't install (as noted earlier, rejects 3200 as wrong model number). I'm too much of an amateur to follow the updater.sh hints given earlier :-( Can someone point me to a ready-to-use Cacko 1.23 for 3200 image? I'd be eternally grateful!!

Regards -
