Zaurus - pdaXrom / 3100 Beta Testers Needed!
« on: September 13, 2005, 08:28:23 am »
What are the latest test images?

I tried with the ones posted up here earlier, but it seemed that matchbox-desktop segfaulted all the time, so the furthest I could get into X was a panel and a clock. Still the barded background.

This is not a default behaviour for the ROM. It must be something you have installed. Try to remember, which packages you've installed recently.

Nope, this was a fresh install.

And worst of all (because now I don't know what's up) this morning, it suddenly works perfectly.
I'm now left trying to work out what I didn't do, or what I did...

If it happens again, I'll try reflashing...

I tried suspending by enabling the power key in /proc, and by using apm --suspend. With both, it works but when I resume qpe starts taking 99% of the CPU. Everything else works fine - if I restart qpe, it's fine...

strace shows that qpe gets into an infinite loop of gettimeofday() calls. Badly coded event loop?

Where is the actual source for it?

I'm just trying out the Cacho 1.22 ROM, and I love it. However...

It would appear that suspending is disabled. When not on AC, the zaurus never suspends, the power key doesn't work... All in all, not good.

I tried suspending by enabling the power key in /proc, and by using apm --suspend. With both, it works but when I resume qpe starts taking 99% of the CPU. Everything else works fine - if I restart qpe, it's fine...

But having to restart the GUI every time I come out of suspend is not exactly ideal...
