 Close! I have a 5500 and HAD a 5000. No difference in battery life.  It's all about the battery, (The 5600 has a battery 2X larger   .)

basically im looking for something quite trivial, we wouldnt need such advanced capabilities (gantt chart and the like), as there are older guys who need to use it so a basic requirement is to stick to the basics, simple and clean like IQnotes or StageOne.

I think the reason prople are blowing out the 6000 is simple.  Word on the street is that Sharp is doing another blowout in the next few weeks, "March?" thus the push to unload these at inflated prices, "suckers?"  Like all good tell-tales I'll share a source.

They're not shipping yet but I'm seeing more of these pop out of nowhere fast, 2/14/05. Tempting  ..
