Thank you, it's news to me.  

May be, it's more convenient to use target "openzaurus/gpe" instead of "desktop/gtk" in version 0.7.3c. Some parameters in this version are optimized for gpe devices. (Especially, speed of scrolling in rotated mode, and toolbar size.)

Moreover, it is possible to build different packages for devices with different screen resolutions. Differences between my packages for 640x480 and 240x320 resolutions are icon sizes and default values for some parameters (such as font size).

Hi,

new version (0.7.3c) of FBReader is ported to GPE.

Now this e-book reader works on all popular zaurus ROMs: Sharp based (e.g., Cacko), OpenZaurus with Opie and GPE interfaces, pdaXrom.

Hi Geometer, I liked the new reader, but I can´t set the paths for the books, the mine are quite all in g-zip. Samething for the info about the books.
May you help me please?

The path is :/usr/mnt.rom/cf/Documents/application/x-gzip

Hi Baptista,

did you mean path in Options Dialog->General->Book Path? This path is actual for fb2-files only. File in any other format should be added in library using 'Books +' button.

(Fb2 file contains information about author and book title, so it could be added to library automatically, for other formats this is not possible.)

hi there,i've tried it.
It's great in many aspects.

But for chinese users.....
why can't add GBK or big5 code for books like justreader?
and when i save chinese files in UTF-8,some character at right are hidden.....

could you, please, sent me file in GBK and big5 encodings? I can't understand Chinese, but if JustReader works fine with these files, I could make the same view in FBReader.

how does it compare to opie-reader and justreader?

Hello,

feature set is very close to opie-reader one. FB2 format is supported in FBReader, but not supported in opie-reader (This format is quite popular in Russia, you can visit fictionbook site for details about this format.)

Also FBReader is more configurable than opie-reader.

new version of FBReader is released. Main changes:

added palm formats support -- plucker, palmdoc, zTxt.
compiled for Qtopia, pdaXrom (RC10 and RC11), opensimpad, and desktop.
added key bindings configuration.

This has been in the Cacko feed for some time now.

Yes, but version in Cacko feed supports fb2 format only.

New version (0.6.1) supports html too.

I've written new (GPLed) e-book reader for Zaurus (both qtopia and pdaXrom ROMs).

Currently it supports only 2 formats: html and fb2 (this format is very popular in Russia, please visit Fictionbook site for details), but more formats are planned for future versions.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Jpeg Support In Qt Library For Rc9

Hi,

I would like to port my program from Qtopia to pdaXrom. I've recompiled program with Qt instead of Qte. It works fine, but jpeg images are missing.

It looks that Qt library from RC9 feed is compiled without jpeg support. It is true? If "yes" -- why? May be, it is just bug?
