I just purchased brand new c860 at very low price in Japan.

I first ran bad NAND block count and found FIVE bad NAND blocks.

Altough I had no problem flashing roms and NAND restoring, I tried to fix bad NAND blocks by full erasing NAND and restoring.

But when I did the full NAND erase, this c860 started to think it is c760.

When I enter service menu, I see c760 instead of c860.

I tried NAND restore with systc860.dbk but i get error saying the name isn't
syst760.dbk.

So I changed the name to systc760.dbk and flashed, but it still think it is c760.

How do I make it think it is c860 again?

Also, is five NAND blocks considered as defect altough I have no problem flashing rom images and NAND?

6000 - Tosa / Digitizer Accuracy/fluctuation, Is It Normal?

Hi,

I finally took the plunge, and picked up a up a 6000.  I'm noticing that
when running X, if I'm holding the stylus perfectly still on the screen,
the cursor is fluctuating a pixel or two in each direction continuously.

Is this normal?  This unit has a textured abrasion on the corner, sort of what
I would expect from a drop on a driveway.

Anyway, I'd be curious if others see windows shake when dragging them and
keeping the stylus steady.

I've had two of them, and they all had same problem.
The one I currently have fluctuates less than the other one I had before.

I will be swapping the motherboards in the 3000 and 1000 as soon as I've played with them for a bit. The 3000 is going to be my daily use one and it *has* to be the sexy black one

I just wanted to share that I received my c3000.  I ordered it on March 30th from pricejapan.com.  I received it today via DHL.  I could not believe how fast it got here.  Now, I am selling my 5600 on ebay.

Yes,pricejapan is really fast.I received my c3000 in US only 3 days after EMS shipped from Japan.

General Discussion / My Brand New C3000 Has Unpainted Spot

I purchased brand new c3000 yesterday and I found that there is a small

unpainted spot at the edge of the silver color plastic..the spot looks white..

although it is hardly noticable, it gets so annoying once I seen it....

is this normal or defect? anybody bought zaurus like this?

don't worry it is not defected

there can be an unpainted spot..

and hey! yours is unique~! even with 3000 brand new c3000 zaurii, you can always recognize yours~!

A friend of mine bought an Apple Powerbook and complain abt his stratch (which is less then 1mm thick, hardly noticeable, not unless you view it @ distance closer then 20 cm)

Then he sended it back for exchange, took 3 weeks for shipping, and Apple send him a brand new Powerbook that's exactly the same as his..(the stratch is still here).
