General Discussion / Shirtpocket Troubles?
« on: July 22, 2005, 04:51:21 am »
Still no screen protector (ordered begining of March). Still no answer on the phone. They now have a message saying they're away on holiday from the 22nd till the 3rd, and their phone appears to have been cut off when I tried it this morning.

DON'T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. Plain and simple. Ask yourself what sort of technology related company can't fix email in 4 months (their website still says they are having email problems, and they certainly don't reply to peoples email). Ask yourself what sort of reputable company wouldn't install an answering service if they were unable to man their phones during office hours (It's simply impossible to get through to them). Ask youself do you want to buy from a company who still haven't fulfilled an order in over 4 months, and whom you cannot contact.

I am totally disgusted with this company, and regret purchasing the equipment I have from them (not the C3000 itself, just that I bought from them. I'm totally screwed if there is ever a problem with it during the remainder of the warranty period!).

[edit]
Seems their phones have now come back, and are just ringing through to the unanswered  tone

Yeah, I'm still waiting for my protector, and my screen is starting to look a bit grubby. Anyone know any other good
sources for these is the uk (obviously from companies who don't take 2 months+ to ship to you!).

No, they never once emailed me. They did phone the day before. Still haven't got my screen protector yet either.

Does anyone else find they're new thing on logon where you have to
type in the letters pointless and anoying? It's annoying because you
have to type in extra stuff you can't have saved in your browser, and
pointless because the filename of images tells you what the letters are
(validation_p.gif, is p), so it'd be childsplay to script it, which is what
they're claiming to avoid... why it's relevant to avoid it is confusing too...

Well, just spoke to them on the phone, and they said they finally have a batch in, and should be despatched by the end of the week! Here's hoping!

Well, they're not answering their phones again today (Monday 11th). Haven't answered any email either. I was hoping, as of last week when I could get through, that they were getting their act together. Obviously not. I'm fed up with being patient. Their new website (accessible at http://www.shirtpocket.co.uk/crc ) now shows my order as pending rather than acknowledged on the old site, but I don't think this means it's any nearer to being in my hands! :-(

I don't see how that's relevant without specifying when you got the service. Have tried contacting them lately?
I'm really tempted to post a blob on the ZUG site warning new users not to buy from SP.
Opinions?
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=74405\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

I think in some ways it might be good, however.SP should have the right to reply and it should removed if/when they
get their act sorted. In doing this it might encourage them to communicate better with their customers. It shouldn't,
for example, be that difficult for them to script a standard mail to customers updating them on what's happening. It
seems most people here, apart from complaining about the delay, take great exception to their unreachability, but if
SP kept them in the loop via email, they wouldn't need to call them so often, and customers would see things
being done, which would likelly lead to less canceled orders frocustomers. AlsoSP wouldln't have to answer the
phone so much (not that they seemed to be answering at all on Friday). This all seems pretty obvious, and it really
worries me that SP don't seem to get it.

Just want to indicate this:
I ordered my c-860 from Trisoft and everything went well. They don't speak (or write) the best english, but were very responsive, and when getting the Z from them it's just a normal sale, not an import service. The warranty is also 2 years (long enough to last you til you upgrade  )
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=73732\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Well, I reckon I'll buy from then if I get any more delays from Shirtpocket. I am a bit concerned at the slipping that occurs from them (first phone call, "Next Wednesday", next phone call "The end of the week"). While their contract says "time is not of the esscence" (6.1), they do state that:

Quote
"6.3 ShirtPocket shall not be liable for any delays caused except to the extent
caused wilfully or negligently by ShirtPocket. However, ShirtPocket will despatch
goods or begin provision of services to customers within 30 days of acceptance
of the Order unless otherwise stated. Should ShirtPocket not be able to do so,
the customer will have the option of cancelling any outstanding Goods &
Services on the Order and a refund given in proportion to the Goods & Services
no longer required."

So if you've waited over 30 days (unless they contacted you and stated otherwise... which isn't likely given their track record on customer contact...) then, according to their own terms, you can cancel and recieve a refund.

mid march?
I ordered mine from shirtpocket early February and am STILL waiting!
They said ring back today, and guess what... no answer *again*

This is a shambles... trisoft could have one to me in 3 days, and that is from Germany.
Why o why have i waited 2 MONTHS from these jokers.
The very least they could do is refund our money so we may buy from a decent shop and recieve our goods.

Really? I tried calling today for an update on my order (after reading that you didn't get through). I got through no problem on  0870 7669862. Spoke to them, and as Elleomea said, they are expecting a delivery end of this week, to be converted and ship to us begining of the following week (if all goes to plan).

I'm in the same boat, paid with a debit card    on the 11th of March for a new C3000 + some accessories. I got an email comfirming the order, the money left my account some days later. On their website, the status of my order showed as acknowledged. After 2 weeks of still showing acknowledged, I sent an email asking for an estimated delivery time (I understand they're comming from Japan, and that may take some time, just wanted an approximate time). No response. A bit of googling, seems I'm not alone. I'm hoping that this is just a problem related to the office move, however, I would have at least expected an email saying they were having problems, and asking for patience. Instead I get nothing. Now the website has had issues for a few days... (and become totally useless yesterday), I'm even more concerned.

If this is just a glitch, and sitting tight will result in me getting my order, then fine... I'd just like to know!

Ok, their site has changed again! It now has a working phone number! And I got to speak to someone! Looks hopeful, I was told they'd be getting my C3000 in about a week or so. I'm happy to wait, as long as I get something. The guy on the phone was most helpful, and appologised for all the problems they'd been having, so hopefully they'll be back on track.
