Did anything ever become of running Xorg on pdaxrom?

I'd be curious too, if only see what modules/extensions were necessary, and what the xorg.conf looked like (especially the evdev input stuff for the touchscreen)..

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Solved: Xmms With Ce-rh2 Remote Control?
« on: November 12, 2005, 09:20:55 pm »
In case anyone's looking for them, here are the keycodes I recorded for the CE-RH2:

Volume up: 118
Volume Down: 119
Mute: 120
Play/Pause: 64
Stop: 68
Previous: 116
Next: 108

I'm trying to get it to work in Opie now; a less-than-ideal workaround for the moment is to map play to "space", previous to "Left", next to "Right", and stop to "escape"; this will at least work if mediaplayer is already open and has the focus (I think a better solution would be to capture these outside the player and send the appropriate signals; that way volume could be controlled outside the player, and hitting "play" could launch the player if necessary.. if anyone else has any clues on how to do this, let me know  )

Linux Issues / Sd Wireless?

A few links I've found..

https://www.oesf.org/index.php?title=Wireless_Card_Support is a good start... could use some filling in/filling out... and pics would be great (often times I would guess physical profile is an important factor for Z users..)  More cards would be good.. more feature columns (ie. protocols A/B/G, WEP/WPA, etc.)..

A general (but slightly out-of-date) matrix of range/power/notes (from the original zaurus.com site): http://www.ossh.com/zaurus/mirrors/docs.za...lesscards.shtml

I think I'm going to grab something soon (Ambicom, Belkin, or maybe Pretec).. we'll see how it goes..

Linux Issues / Sd Wireless?

Thanks for the quick reply; I'll do that for now.

Any recommendations for low-power CF Wifi cards?  (I haven't been following the Z for a while now, and most of my bookmarks no longer exist :)  There used to be a compatibility matrix for CF cards out there somewhere..

The Socket cards used to work, IIRC, but I have read in various reviews that the new model (ie. the WL6004 line) doesn't work on the Z..

Anyone tried the AmbiCom WL1100C-CF?  Or other recommendations for low-power, smallish CF Wifi cards?  (I have a Linksys WCF11 atm, but it sticks out a little too far and uses too much power to be ideal.)

(I'm still hunting myself.. I'll post an update if I find something good..)

Linux Issues / Sd Wireless?

Hi all.

I just finally ditched my aging SL-5500 in favor of a brand new SL-C1000 (it is, btw, awesome .

I have heard some rumors that unlike the original Zauri, the newer clamshell models actually have SDIO capability (eg. for SD Wireless cards).

I need a new wireless card, and I'm considering one of these SD Wifi cards (Socket has one, and Sandisk has a dual Wifi/Storage model that is very tempting..)

Has *anyone* gotten SDIO working on a Zaurus?  I'm an experienced Linux user, so I don't mind putting in some effort to get it working... but I'd like to figure out if its even possible before I start wasting my time/money..

Any thoughts?  (TIA..)
