Spain / Campus Party 2007

Este año algunas personas relacionadas con las Zaurus vamos a asistir a la Campus Party 2007.

Datos:
- Última semana de julio (toda la semana).
- Precio: cerca de 150 incluyendo catering y estancia (lo tengo que confirmar).
- Lugar: Valencia, Feria de Muestras.

Si alguno se anima a venir....

Buenas, que gusto volver a "forear" después de tanto tiempo.

Pues yo, como  viene siendo tradicional, no creo que pueda ir por diversos temas pero si organizáis algo fuera de la campus, rollo cenita geeketilica o similar (ejem, con fines divulgativos por supuesto)  me dejaría caer (si estoy en Valencia que esa es la 2da parte).

Por otro lado,¿habéis planeado hacer algo para la campus? ¿Algún taller/charla/lo que sea?

Python / Help With Pyqt Qfiledialog

Anyone can help? I am unable to show a qfiledialog in opie. I've tried qfiledialog and FileSelector, but with the same result (it seems that is not supported by pyqt for opie). How can I show a filedialog window from pyqt?

Spain / Callejero En Zaurus

Que yo sepa hay por ahi un proyecto que se llama zRoadMap, pero no se como irá, no tengo gps aunque me quiero pillar una. Por otro lado TomTom utiliza procesadores ARM y linux (como la zaurus) para sus cacharritos gps. Así que supongo que debe existir una  versión de descarga de su soft, yo buscando por la página encontré unas fuentes, pero no se si son del linux que ejecutan o si son las del programa.

A mi también me funciona la encriptación, aunque yo se la cargo como ascii poniendole en el cuadrado de la contraseña wep s:lacontraseña, el s: indica que es ascii.
Mi tarjeta es una zonet zcf1100

En cuanto a lo del comportamiento extraño, ¿has actualizado opie recientemente?

Buenas! Te respondo aquí y damos el otro hilo por muerto, ok?
Si te parpadean las dos luces y se apagan es que tienes un problema con los ficheros.
Tienen que ser zImage y initrd.bin (respetando mayúsculas y minúsculas) y tienen que estar en el directorio raíz de la tarjeta, es decir, no debes ponerlos en ningún directorio sino "sueltos".
Por otro lado, como te dice mimeca, theKompany es una rom basada en la de Sharp, bastante anticuada y con un soporte "escaso" de tarjetas wifi; y es jodido intentar meterle un driver- Tten en cuenta que los drivers dependen del kernel, es decir, para compilarlos necesitas el codigo fuente de tu kernel, además deberás hacerlo desde tu pc y montarte un cross-compiler, sinceramente, olvídate del  tema.
Si cuando arrancas tu Zaurus te detecta la compact flash y puedes acceder a ella entonces descarta que ese sea tu problema.
Para mi debe ser algo de los archivos, prueba a volver a descargartelos a ver.

Yo la verdad que lo consigo una vez de cada 5 o 6, y ya lo he hecho bastantes veces.
El mejor sistema es pulsar la c y la d, y una vez pulsadas darle al reset. Ese método no falla nunca.

Hay un FAQ no oficial de las Zaurus. Se podría traducir y añadir las cosas que falten. Enlace

Pues la verdad que el FAQ está de pm. Habrá que ponerse y traducirlo poco a poco. Por otro lado, y ya que comentas lo de gpe, espero que no cambien muchas cosas de opie a gpe porqué sino va a tocar hacer (traducir xD), o creo yo que sería lo mejor, un par de manuales, uno para opie y otro para gpe.

Buenas gente. Se está pensando en crear un faq de preguntas frecuentes, yo este fin de semana le pegaré un repaso al foro y haré un primer borrador, pero no estaría de más que pusieseis en  este hilo las cosas que creáis que más pueden interesar o que puedan ser de utilidad.

Yo por ahora he pensado:
Instalacion OpenZaurus
Bluetooth
Wireless
Sincronización
Instalación de cosas "necesarias" como libsdl, opera, oz-compat,fbvnc... cosas de este tipo.
Reproducción divx y mp3

¿A alguno se os ocurre algo más?

Spain / Apariencia De La Web

Mola el nuevo tema de la página. Queda más"profesional". Por cierto, ¿habéis leído la newsletter 2005.8? Hablan de que la 3.5.4 ya anda cerca, y que ya hay un kernel parcheado para que no cuelgue cuando suspende/reanuda y tiene una wifi, aunque por lo que he leído solo es recomendable con las rom's de Hentges, se ve que con OpenZaurus jode más cosas de las que soluciona. Por si acaso ya ando bajándome la de Hentges jeje, a ver si ahora luego lo pruebo y ya comento que tal anda.

Buenas, aqui me encuentro volviendo de vacaciones y con las pilas aún más descargadas que antes de irme, jeje jodida cazalla y jodidas fiestas  
Pues yo ahora tengo algo de tiempo porque ando en el paro, por las tardes estoy en un cursillo pero en fin, que tampoco me cuesta echar una hora o dos por la mañana revisando el foro y haciendo un borrador.
¿Tu ya has empezado con algo mimeca? Lo que pasa que por las noches llego casí a las 11 pero a ver si hoy o mañana me escapo antes  y me meto por irc y comentamos un poco el tema.
Por cierto, la lista de correo está muerta, ¿no?

Buenas señores   

Como ya se empiezan a repetir algunas preguntas, he pensado hacer un FAQ con las mas comunes. Si teneis algo de tiempo libre, ¿podriais poner cada uno las preguntas que ha hecho y la respuesta final?

Solo sería copiar y pegar y cada uno puede ver los mensajes que ha puesto desde su ficha de usuario de OpenEmbedded. No sería mucho esfuerzo individual y me ahorrariais revisarme todo el foro. Asi tendre algo de tiempo para actualizar la web y añadir algunas cosas.

Si ninguna se anima, lo ire haciendo poco a poco, pero de tardar una semana entre todos, se puede alargar a un mes o mas si lo tengo que hacer en mi tiempo libre (creo que tengo algo, pero me gustaría dormir un poco   )

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Basic Help For Konqueror

Hi, first of all, excuse my bad english.
Well, in order of install konqueror you need the packages:
libstdc6++
libpcre0
konqueror-embedded.
ibstdc & libpcre could be downloaded from the devel feed, and you mustn't have any problem installing them.
konqueror-embedded is in opie feed, but for install it you must put the options -force-depends & -nodeps or if you install from the opie package manager you need to activate the option "force dependecies (or something alike, i have opie in spanish).

Another question, in order to install packages there are two managers for opie, package-manager that is the default for opie and opie-aqpkg that is at the opie feed. I advice that you install and use aqpkg and uninstall the package-manager, because aqpkg its really stable.

p.d. opera browser could be installed also, and it's better solution than konqueror-embedded

Hey, big thanks for the answer.
Well, I've tested it on mediaplayer1 & 2, whith all the xine-related packages updated and it continues without playng streams. It throws 2 errors:
The first was "No input plugin for that media type" (or anything alike), but yerterday i reinstalled openzaurus and now it gives me the error "i/o_helper: I/O error: Bad adress" for three times, then puts correctly the id3 tag, duration and format of the stream (at the console, of course) and shows the gui (no that one with the playlist, the another that's only the buttons and the current song's id3 tag), and then the GUI dissapears and returns back to the playlist tab.
I hope that you can understand my english and my explaination.
And well, in xmms yes, the playlist have more than one song (hehe what a playlist if not) and when it ends of play one, it stops and don't continue with the next song. The xmms version is 1.2.7 (xmms -v) It is the one at openzaurus 3.5.3 opie feed

What version of xmms have you installed?

Hi everybody!
My english is too bad, please excuse.
I want to play a playlist streamed with gnump3d in opie mediaplayer, but when i try to do that the mediaplayer says that there's no input plugin for that file, but if I try to play a local playlist the mediaplayer plays it well.

With xmms I have no problem with the stream.

Anyone can help?

Another question, when xmms plays a song it stops playing at the end and don't play the next song, how can I fix that?

I know my english is too bad, excuse. And Thanks!!

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Help With Opie Player And Mplayer

First, excuse my bad english.

Well, you must go to the package-manager, in the configuration tab and click in "update lists".
when you've made that install the "opie-apkg package manager" and after uninstall the package manager, aqpkg is more stable.

When you finish you must not have anymore problems installing programas and the dependencies will be ok (in theory hehe)

Hey guys..

     Bare with me.  I'm just transitioning to Zaurus and the linux world from Windows, so I need a lot of help.  Yesterday, I installed OPIE 3.5.3 on my Zaurus 5500.  (SUCCESS!!) Next I tried to install OPIE Media Player 2, but it kept saying missing this and that files. I'm so confused. Can sombody direct me or give me instructions on how to install all the needed files for OPIE Player 2 and mplayer so I can play music and watch videos?
