Sure, be my guest - just attribute it to me. I also have the wiring diagram on a piece of paper which I need to transcribe (when I get time). It's pretty obvious though when you take the batteries apart.

Thanks for the information Fred. I've had a look at the link and it looks interesting. I'll try and pick up some batteries from ebay and see I can do.

My simpad battery is giving in and now refuses to keep it's charge for more than 10-15 minutes at a time.

I'd like to replace the battery and would like some advice on options.

Where can I buy a replacement simpad battery (I'm in the UK)?

Can I replace the battery with a 3rd party part - i.e. I've looked around and some radio control batteries appear to have the same specification and might well fit into the case. Has anyone else tried this approach?

I'm assuming that as the battery is so old and is not holding charge any more that it's only fit for the bin.

For anyone interested, I eventually got this to work by changing the tcp parameters as suggested here:

Timeout on server

using echo 0>/proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_ecn

Hi,

I've installed the 0.91 release on my simpad and can't connect to any websites using konquerer.

This was originally mentioned in a thread in the old simpad forums

http://opensimpad.org/opensimpad-forum/vie...f5b86d2f833dece

but no-one really gave a specific answer. I've tried the suggestion of using "http://" at the start of the URL but this does not work. I can ping websites from the console, so I know the network is working. I also can't connect to the web using the package manager.

Any other hints on what I can do?

Thanks,
Phil B.
