5x00 Hardware / 5500 screen cover -help!
« on: July 13, 2005, 04:13:14 pm »
Hello,
I ordered a cover to Canada from Underwood Distribution.  They don't list any more covers in stock, but it would be worth checking with them.  http://www.underwooddist.com  They shipped mine to Canada no problem.

In the States, you can order directly from Sharp.  http://www.sharpplace.com/searchresults.asp?search_id=9

Hope that helps,
Fenwick

5x00 General discussions / Case For Sl-5500
« on: July 13, 2005, 09:36:08 am »
Hello,
I am looking to buy a Zaurus case, preferably one that  folds open like a book.  Something like the Extreme Limits case, http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/review/extrem...her_case_review, for the Zaurus.  I can't find anything online and the FAQ is a bit out of date.  I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for cases.

Thanks,

5x00 General discussions / Difference Between Sync Cable And Cradle
« on: June 15, 2005, 10:47:45 am »
Hello,
I am trying to enable USB networking and am having a lot of difficulties.  I am trying to troubleshoot and wanted to make sure that my cable was not broken or incorrect.  I have a USB sync cable, not the cradle.  I was wondering if there is any difference between these two?

I get power from the USB device, but I am not able to network or sync with the Intellisync program.

I am using the Cacko Rom.

I jsut wanted to make sure that it wasn't a cable problem before I move on.

Thanks,

5x00 General discussions / Flashing Rom Question
« on: May 10, 2005, 06:49:16 pm »
Hello,
Can I flash my Zaurus SL-5500 with it plugged in just from the USB cable?  I want to sent it back to factory defaults, but I don't know if it has enough power and don't want to brick it.

Thanks,

5x00 Hardware / Fixing Broken Keyboard
« on: May 09, 2005, 09:50:36 am »
Hello,

I recently purchased a sl-5500.  The unit is missing the 'i' and the 'd' keys from the keyboard.  I wanted to know if it was possible to replace the keys and how I would go about getting new keys?

Any suggestions would be helpful.  I am really excited to own a Zaurus!  I have attached a photo of the keyboard

Sincerely,
Fenwick McKelvey
