Zaurus - pdaXrom / Pdaxrom For C3000 (based On Beta1/beta3)

zgcc image has been fixed ages ago, but it is not convennient to upload it from an airport terminal  you will have to wait till I get home before I can upload any larger files...

Hi Meanie,

first thanks for the great work, the Zaurus becomes much more useful with it!  

Did you linked QT Assistant and Designer against the multithreaded lib in the new zgcc image?

Unfortunately I still have a problem with pdf. Xpdf isn't showing fonts while epdfviewer shows well but crashes often with segfault.

Are you sure you aren't talking about PdaXrom : nothing to do with cacko .

Im sure he is talking about X/Qt with Meanie's builds of Firefox and Abiword.  Use the search to find the threads regarding these packages.

Yes - exactly!    I'm using this on top of the cacko beta and allways have a Firefox running in background (cause of the long loadtime) while frequently using kapi/kopi or some picture programs. Till now very stable and without any problems.

tried it : not convinced   too many freezes.

What where you trying to do?   I didn't had a single freeze with it till now - not even with Abiword or Firefox..

i cant remember and i cant replicate it.

here we go..

i launched xlauncher and typed abiword

it asks for shared libraries libconv.so.2

you need to install libiconv_1.8-2_arm.ipk

Hello,

I'm getting lots of error while starting Abiword, all related to xpm support or gtkiconfactory, for instance:

"(abiword:433) GdkPixbuf-Warning **: Can not open pixbuf loader module file
'/opt/QtPalmtop/etc/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf.loaders': no such file or dir

Error loading XPM image loader imagetype 'xpm' is not supported"

Any clue whats going wrong and how to fix?

True, but newer models charge from the USB port, so it'd also be powered from the Z (if it can supply enough)

The 40Gig iPod 4G is not working on C3k    It starts connecting and charging but after a second it breaks up with a beep.
