There are only few ebay orinoco sellers that would ship to worldwide.

I found this one:
Proxim/Lucent orinoco classic gold card

It says to have the Hermes I chipset.

Do you think that the SIMPad (with WIN CE 3.0 or 4.1) will be able to use this card?

I appreciate if you (or anybody else) can clarify a few issues:

- I suppose that the first 2 links contain a similar image, and that the file should be renamed to have a '.bin' extention. Is this correct?

- Is it possible to backup the current OS (before the upgrade), to be able to restore it (just in case)?

- What are the booloader and the alternative boot loader? Do I need to dowload them from somewhere?

I bought 2 NIB SIMpads from MISTERIP for $450, including shipment to Israel.
Here is the link.

I may be willing to pay the same. That depends on the sucess of installing WLan cards, which I'll probably do next week. I may even take all four for $900 (incl. shipping).

Just being curious - why do you need a replacement SL4? Aren't hey all the same?

A $900 pepper pad  is a lot more than the $125 simpad.
Anyway, I need a win ce device - like a PocketPC with a large 8" screen and with WiFi capabilities.

I guess I'll have to wait for the next SL4 auction at Ebay.
