For Sale / Wanted / Where to buy screen protectors
« on: July 15, 2006, 12:52:12 pm »
Just ordered some weeks ago screen protectors from AI... [edit] only for US customers?

Now I have tried Boxwave's SL-C3000 protector. Very easy to install and looks great and durable. But the size doesn't fit exactly. 3mm is missing vertically.

If somebody doesn't want to install a screen protector, i would recommend a stylus some fits Z's silo and has softer touch (you can get these from pdair and figlabs). [/edit]

C1000/3x00 Hardware / What Headphone With Microphone For The Cxx00?
« on: October 15, 2005, 05:48:36 pm »
Just got Sennheiser's mini headset (Sennheiser PC 110).
The speaker quality isn't really for music but this is made for travel & mobile use.
First plug got 2,5m (works great with older Z models) and after that there's also volyme controller&mic on/off thing and it has 2x3,5m plugs.
Noted that when volyme is adjusted down there's still sound...

C1000/3x00 General discussions / Usb Charging For The C1000

I can recommend Polarpanda PSP USB charging and syncing cable.

It's made by Kaiyue.

You can make a telnet connection while it charges Z.

See the mini plug.

***
But be careful and use it own risk. Don't use USB HUB which is contacted to an extra power adaptor. Too much power for mini-b plug can blow your Z.

Accessories / Psp Usb Charging Cable For Zaurus?
« on: September 01, 2005, 01:51:45 pm »
I'm just loading Z's battery with "Kaiyue" PSP charging cable.
There's mini usb also for data transfer in the same cable.
//But the plug is mini-b... and it should be mini-a for Z sync?
picture: mini A and mini B

"Dragonplus" marked PSP cable's plug seems to be a little bit too big... but I check it 2.

Check -> Charging Via Usb?

Tested Kaiyue (from Polarpanda <- Good Service!) and it seems to charge like it should.

Kaiyues PSP mini usb is different gender than Z's original syncing cable's mini plug.
So sync with this cable isn't possible..?

Accessories / Wanted: Quality Usb Hub
« on: August 29, 2005, 09:09:25 am »
Searching for a quality usb hub brand/model.

Active would be good: loading Z's akku from USB-to-AC without a PC.

And that kind of hub
which not necessarily need extra power(adapter) in PC use.

Someone found a good and tested one?

//
Found one:
Edimax EU-HB4S

"Key Features
...
Select between self-powered mode and bus-powered mode automatically."
Good one?

After searching transformer hubs I noticed most of them delivers 1A power/port when connected PC and transformer simultaneously.
So BEWARE with these!
Maybe only use with PC only (without extra transformer power)
or without PC (when power/port should also be 500mA).
I ordered Trust 2.0 PASSIVE model. (also active available which delivers 1A)

A-Data 4GB 200x MMCplus card

Test some smaller MMCplus first! They are much cheaper than SDs.
I think these bigger MMC cards will be all MMCplus...

I need to know so I can buy the proper amount of parts.
I assume that anyone voting for "YES, I want one" here will order a cable from me once they are available!

I'm ready to buy 2 charging cables.
Thanks

C1000/3x00 Hardware / Power Supply Woes

i did the same thing.  i purchased from ebay from a guy for pretty cheap but i still had no power supply or support.
I maybe have a challenge to test out how much voltages/amps Hama PDA adapter gives on weekend.
***
But I don't. Mine Z shipment takes longer... :/
Hmmpf. Somebody could give/take a picture about the usb adapter?

EA-70 is cheap in the states. But it uses US plug there.
***

Hama.de page claims It's 5v/0,5amps. So if this is true=
It's a value choice?

This power case is so stupid. I think these officials are overpriced.
Every retailer should know that when It comes to international order,
the only good way is to give a everywhere compatible and the best available adapter in with it.

C1000/3x00 Hardware / Secure Digital Transfer Speeds On C1000/c3000

with the new 166x speed cards you should not see any performance gain as there is no device that i know of that can support the 166x speed (i belive it was added in the sd card 2.0 spec)

Can Zaurus SL-Cxx00 handle these new SDs?

Example CVS-Direct.de - RiDATA 2GB 150X SD
Anyone tested memory like this?

I read that some machines can't run these ~150X class SDs at all.

I'm pretty sure there is at least one person who did test between a normal SD and the higher speed version.

There are lots of speed tests done with the card readers. You can google these.

You never know about the real speeds of cards. Some 40X are faster than some 60X. Example Transcend 45X is faster than some 60X SD cards.

Kingston's Ultimate Secure Digital serie should be very fast.

From Geeks.com you can find Belkin BT (french version?). Pretty cheap.

Zaurus compatible?

I was googling and I read that Belkin has many chipsets in BT modules (country versions). Maybe this uses Philips chip?
