Quotedid everyone install perl, jamvm 1.4.2 and classpath 0.9?
the way the plugin works is that firefox loads libgcjwebplugin.so which then invokes the gcjappletviewer perl script which in turn calls jamvm which loads classpath and gcjapplet.jar
make sure that jamvm and classpath are correctly configured and can actually run java applications

I have installed all ipk, but ...haven't configured jamvm and classpath... do i need to change any configuration file?

I´ve just started to compile a new E17 build when I found out that
someone else did the job and compilied a more recent version of E17 for pdaxrom already.
There are no major changes in this new version so far, but setting some of the options is now more easy.
(Version 0.16.999.023)
You can get the files and some short documentation here.
Maybe the author of this build will keep the packages more uptodate for those
who want to stay bleeding edge
EDIT : This build works well, but make sure you don't mix both feeds because the
dependecies don't match the corresponding ipks.
cmpayc13: there is also no engage module in this build

QuoteQuoteDoes anyone know whether the kernel for the C-1000 & C-3100 has been significantly changed from RC12 to Beta 1.10? I'm also assuming that since the c-1000 kernel is made from C-3100 sources they are the same.
Evidently, there are some patches required to get the Orinico drivers working properly for the Socket WiFi cards in Kismet. They work fine for connecting to a network, but seem to not be able go into monitor mode. I've posted this bug and in the mean time have tried using a C-1000 RC12 kernel that was patched by cjb http://www.neonbox.org/zaurus/index.html Unfortunately, it didn't work. My C-3100 would boot. Of course, I may have screwed up while moving the C-1000 kernel from the folder in tools.tar to the C-3100 folder, but the flash seem to go without error. Before I backup everything and try again I was hoping someone with more knowledge than I could weigh in on the issue.
Cheers,
Jerry

Are you using hostap driver?
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=113469\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]
No, I ended up recompiling the kernel without the Hermes drivers and using newer drivers compiled seperately. See [a href=\"http://mail.pdaxrom.org/contrib/docs/kernel-compile-3100.html]http://mail.pdaxrom.org/contrib/docs/kerne...mpile-3100.html[/url]
Don't tell me it would have been simplier to use the hostap drivers
