Zaurus - pdaXrom / Is Your Z "dead" After Trying To Install Pdaxrom?

I'm confused... I tried to install u-boot... now my Z doesn't have a charge light, i can't get into any of the menu's to try any of these recoveries... what do i do?

You can always get into the Fn+D+M menu.

Remove the battery and AC from your Z, hold down Fn, D, and M, then insert the power cable.

cool, thx.  I thought it was just D+M, not Func+D+M.

C1000/3x00 General discussions / Wellenreiter And Kismet On Cacko

I was having similar trouble to others in this thread....  i'm on cacko 1.23 on a c1000.  

I noticed a couple additional things:
- ioctl errors and it sorta working when wellineter running seems to be due to dhcpd running.  Killing it (as root) makes them go away for me.  
- the permissions on kismet_client were 744, while the other kismet bins were 755.  This made kismet.sh not be able to start the client and fail.

anyone else using gaim w/ jabber?  my yahoo account works perfectly, but when i try to connect to my jabber server, gaim crashes. (rc11 on akita).

me too. GAIM crash if "Use TLS if available" is checked for Jabber. I found it since RC9.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Hardware problems with pdaXrom..

hi all.... just running pdaxrom after playing around with the sharp rom and openzaurus opie and gpe distros for a while.... i can't believe how sweet pdaXrom is!  exactly what i want!

anyway, back on topic... i have the ambicom wl1100c-cf wireless card... it works very sporadically in pdaXrom, although always worked perfectly in the others... what am i missing?  it has worked for me a couple times, but even then droped and reconnected quite a bit.  Other times, i can't even get it to connect to my network.

I've read a bunch of the discussion on using hostap drivers, but i'm confused... i don't have ANY wireless drivers in lsmod (at least when it's not working), and only a couple even installed in the modules directory, so i'm assuming most are built in.  also, my card shows up as eth0 not wlan0.  

What am i missing?

wpa_supplicant does support doing WEP also... check out it's config file example on it's webpage... there's an example config in there...
