Hello,

I have 3100 that I am  trying to install Zubunt.  Ihave tries numerous different SD cards and everytime I boot with them it states no SD card found.

It's been a while since I installed Zubuntu though I use it daily . . .

Have you tried putting the Fat stuff on a CF card?  I don't remember the SD being formatted fat.  I do vaguely remember that the sd card was a no go in a situation where the CF worked, and perhaps it was with this initial startup stuff.

Good luck.

I have a CF card but do not have way to read or write to it.  I don't have a universal card reader or port to read it.

Do you need the fat files if you don't want the multiboot function?  Can you just do 1 sd with the desktop/root extracted to a EXT2/3 SD

Thank you for your response and help.

Hello,

I have 3100 that I am  trying to install Zubunt.  Ihave tries numerous different SD cards and everytime I boot with them it states no SD card found.  Here is the process I followed:

Format 1 4gb SD ext2, install/extract the root and desktop files to it. No issues

Format another 4 gb SD as Fat and places the Zimage.bin  and updater.sh files to it.  I boot off this SD.

What am I missing.  I have read Omegamoon website thuroughly and cannot find what I am missing.

Thank you for any comments good or bad.

For what it's worth, my Belkin F8U1500-E works great with the 1500t driver
under rc10 on my 760... I assume it'll be just as good with rc12.  Thanks a bunch!

How did you get the / or any punctuation to work with the F81500-e?

I'm confused on how to make changes to the lua file.

Thanks for any help.

Hi,
I'm using a new qpegps version qpeGPSNV EDITION 1.1.15 Beta on my C-3200 with a Haicom USB 204 GPS. Although It's still in beta stage iT works for me after setting up root privileges and changing the map and tracks dirs.

It came to me without maps or without been able to load them after installing the app.

I've downloaded them from the server by using the download option. Once they are downloaded qpeGPSNV loads them automatically showing the static position that the receiver catch, also there is a tap where it's possible to sellect within the different map pieces which are marked by it's degrees.

You can mark any position, not only the real, in any map you have downloaded, and get more from the net covering any area as wide and deep as you want.

I haven't tried navigation on the road yet, but I'm making a good repository.

But it takes some time to get the maps.

Before this I tried the 0.9.2.3.3-map version that worked also fine for me, with, at the moment, almost the same result as the new version.

Does that software come in english or just French?

I am using qpegps with it.
I am using tetsuu kernel with sl-c1000, and it worked without other settings than setting the baud rate to 4800. (with tetsuu kernel modules (18h) installed).

It works very well, I downloaded lots of google maps, and walked around + turned it on while riding the train and it followed me precisely. It takes from 2~5 minutes to get gmt signals at first. I am very pleased with it!!
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=157746\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Forgive me for posting out of the blue.  I have been for awhile trying to get qpegps and my c3200 with my global stat 307 GPS.  I can't get the maps and the signal to work together. I get signal to work can't do map overlay and signal together.

Any input would be great.

I have read all the forums in regards getting wireless G working on a Zaurus. I also have read the forums in regards to this particular card. I wish drivers were available (compiled) and formated for the Z.

I wish I had the knowledge to do such a thing.  I would give my left arm to get wireless G working on a Z with any distribution.

Does anyone have any knowledge of being possible to get any card any distribution.

I hope no one takes offense.  I love this forum, I have relied on this forum for solid answers.

User Request for Applications / Driver For Zd1211b Usb Wifi Adaptor

Would someone please compile this driver for OZ 3.5.4.1?  I tried using the zd1211.ipk in the feed but it's a no go with my adaptor.

http://atheros.com/RD/downloads/download_ZD1211B.htm

After looking at the driver doc I believe they use the same source the only difference being:
make ZD1211REV_B=0 (0 for ZD1211, 1 for ZD1211B)

Any assistance is appreciated
J.T.

Here is the card info:

Would the 1211b driver for the 1215 wifi stick?  If it does any way you can post the compiled driver for the latest cacko.

This would be awesome.

cschafer, I am not sure what you mean by animated, unless you are talking about having the map move while you are driving. I only use my GPS for static maps, I don't drive while using GPS.
Maybe someone more knowledgeable about GPS will offer some information.

Here's a site with downloadable maps. I just copy them to my desktop PC and transfer them to my Zaurus.
This site also includes the coordinates number that you need to put into maps.txt

GPS Utilities: Map site to DL maps
http://gps.pazu.info/
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=158508\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Yep that is what I was talking about.  I have been to that site it is very slick, but when I try to use the map in GPS mode it drops from the map tab.

I forgot to mention, ztep has released a new version of qpegps. (qpegps 0.9.3)
This was posted January 16, 2007
https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=22879

I haven't tried it yet, since the version I have been using works, and I only use it in the Summer when riding my motorcycle.

Jon_J

Thanks for the links.  I have been up and down those links for sometime now.  I have a ouple of issue with qpegps:

Can't 9.3 version to launch on my cacko full 1.23

with older versions 9.2.3.3 I can't get the maps to animated or to get the map that I from these maplinks that are listed.  Do you know of any documentation or if you can push me in the right direction for using animated within qpegps.  Like a how to.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Pdaxii13 Installation
« on: March 28, 2007, 12:19:27 pm »
Hello,

I've installed Pdaxrom 1.1.0.beta3 on my C3200 works great.  I've installed PdaXii13 5.2 stable base image, again works great.

Now the problem I try to install the Full image, through the the installer (ON+Ok).  I get no space for GC messages on boot then a kernel panic.

I have scoured these forums for a detailed (for the slow) procedure and I get confused on what actually to do.

I'm not asking for some to do this for me.  Point me in the right direction for a doc something to get me thru.

I would love to get 5.3.3 beta installed also.

Thank you for any help.

Cory
