Unfortunately I dropped my Archos today and the Harddrive is not responding as well as it should. When I tried to open a certain folder it gave me a cyclic redundency error. I can also feel the Hard drive vibrating more when I try to access it ... what should I do

What is the best setup for recording a speech to reduce the pick up of other background noises... Also what settings should be used for line in recording from a stereo cassette?
