Zaurus - Hardware discussion / SL-5500 syncing with Ubuntu 24.04

I've been working on getting my SL-5500 to sync PIM data with Ubuntu 24.04. So far I've been able to retrieve the data but PC Link stays running after the transfer has finished. Anybody here knowledgeable with such things?

I've managed to get sqlite3 installed without errors, but now it says errorwhile loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.5: cannot load shared object file.

I'm using the cacko rom and trying to install sqlite3 from the zaurusfr cacko feed, if that helps.

I've been trying to get sqlite3 installed on my sl-5500 without any luck. The package I found refuses to install because it has dependencies but I don't what they are. Does anybody have knowledge on this?

My SL-5500 is vastly superior to my old palm and my old iPaq. I've written a shell script that pulls the needed data out of PortaBase, rsyncs it to my pc, does the editing on the files, then puts the new  files on the Zaurus. Again, I just wanted to say thank you for all the help everyone has provided

Also, are there advantages using the Cacko rom over the Sharp 3.10 rom? Also, I've noticed that sometimes when I try to install something (SuperTux for example) it says there are other packages that need installed. It doesn't list them so how would I find out what else needs installed?

if I knew what I needed to do or have installed I would try compiling stuff, I just don't know where to start with it.

I did get the cacko rom working yesterday and the apps I need for work are working as expected. so now I need to figure out how to get sc, tudu, and calcurse working on it
