use 1.1 usb hub

Is there a known issue with USB 2.0 hubs not working with pdaxrom?

Tho my usb keyboard still doesnt work correctly if I plug it directly to the zaurus, does anyone know how to prevent the repeating keys problem?

It`s work only with 1 usb device problems with power supply

Is this still the case if you use a powered USB hub?

It did, however, work perfectly under Qtopia with sharp-rom when plugged into the hub, also under debian...

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Pdaxrom For C3000 Beta2
« on: March 09, 2006, 02:39:42 pm »
Im having problems getting my usb mouse and keyboard to work with the beta2. Both have worked before under qtopia. The following happens>

if I plug the usbmouse directly to the zaurus, it works fine
if I plug the usbmouse into my 4 port kensington usb 2.0 hub, it does not work at all
the keyboard works both plugged into the hub or directly to the zaurus, but it works better when plugged into the hub. But when it is plugged into the hub i get repeating keys, ie: if I press "K" it will write "KKKKKKKK". thats the only problem when it is plugged into the hub, but if i plug it directly to the zaurus then the keymapping will be completely off, totally random.

Im now using my usb mouse directly to the zaurus and its great to have, it makes it feel so much more like a mini laptop. But its annoying not being able to write on my keyboard.

Is there anyway to reduce the sensitivity of the keys so they dont repeat as much?

(Im running a C3000 with pdaxrom)

thanks!

I wasnt sure if I should add a new thread about this or put it here, I put it here, hope it will be ok...

I decided to try pdaxrom on my c3000 and intalled the beta2 from this thread, I did the cardctl fix that meanie posted since i was not sure if that was in the beta2 or not.

My problem is my wifi doesnt work, I have the Asus spacelink WL-110 card, this card worked with sharp rom and with debian.

I try to use the Network setup program to set it up, first time it came up, I entered the details but it just hanged. and now it will not even start...

C1000/3x00 General discussions / Stereo Bluetooth Headset For Z?
« on: October 18, 2005, 03:54:09 pm »
hm, I didnt know the kernel had to support it, I thought it was just needed to have support in the stack and possibly also on the chip for the apropriate profiles...

I think the new bluetooth stereo headsets are a good idea I hate having wires going from whichever device I use for mp3 (I have way too many mp3 capable devices) to my headphones.

As far as I understood there is a new profile for stereo audio streaming. I wonder if blueZ supports this and if there is an audio player that will stream the sound.

Anyone else thought of this?

C1000/3x00 General discussions / Debian Gps/wifi/mouse/keyboard Help
« on: September 25, 2005, 03:02:31 pm »
I installed debian on hdd3 on my c3000, Im running the sharp rom.

I keep having these problems getting things to work, the current list of things I would like to fix is:

1. GPS,
I get my cf gps to work under qtopia with gpsd and qpeGPS, but not under debian with gpsdrive, Im guessing its because debian cannot access the cf card?

2. WIFI under debian,
I have the Asus cf wifi card and it works like a charm in qtopia, for some reason, one time when I booted debian it worked there as well, without me doing any kind of configuring. but alas that was the exception as all other times I cannot get it to work I dont even know what to try.

3. USB mouse in debian,
I tried to get my usb mouse to work both in qtopia with libmouseapplet and debian but neither would work.... the mouse is lighting up (the optical sensor) and its detected as some unknown device in usb as far as I can tell from dmesg

4. USB keyboard in debian,
the keyboard mapping of my usb keyboard is pretty good on qtopia but inside debian only the left shift and the letters and space and enter and backspace works, the rest like the arrow buttons and signs like . , : ; () * etc doesnt work, is there any fix for this?

Ive been lookign around for infomations on these topics but so far Ive gotten nowhere, I appreciate any hints from people who have got the above working

Thanks! finally it works!

I can run it from the terminal now but it doesnt fill the top and bottom of the screen the image goes to both the sides tho, this is not a big problem but if there is a way to make the top and bottom black instead of transpoarent as now it would be nice...

error while loading shared libararies: libvorbisfile.so.3: cannot load shared object file: no such file or directory

libvorbisfile.so.3 is in my /usr/local/lib folder, Im too unexperienced with linux to work out what to do about this....

I have the c3000 and I have been trying to get scummvm to run fullscreen landscape mode with no prevail.

After trying different libsdl Im currently using 1.2.5-slzaurus20050731. I get prboom to run like I want in fullscreen landscape (incidently thats only if I start it via the icon in qtopia not from the console).

Now Im starting to believe I need a special version of scummvm made for 640x480 zauruses to be able to run it in ladnscape?

Im running with sharp rom, I havealso installed debian on hdd3 with icewm but I havent installed anything there yet Im waiting for cables and cf cards to arrive from the store so I can have internet access on the zaurus to run apt-get.

I have read ppl here running scummvm fullscreen but I havent been able to figure out how you do it, can anyone help me?
