Niche. It's very versital, and not too hard to use, but people tend to have an irrational fear of Linux.

hey,
i've got a palm m500 love it but just found out about the Zerus line. I'm getting a SL5000.Will it run palm apps?
I use "my checkbook", and "on time rx" which is a med timer and very important to our family. We would also need a chronograph. Are the alt os as easy to use as the stock sharp os?(is the sharp os easy?)I don't know much about Linux but if it's plug&play-sorry-I'll give it a hard shot. We'd be looking for wireless as the library has our only connect to broadband. Guess it'd be like an affordable mini notebook. Looked on yahoo groups for a group like this but didn't find any- did I just miss them?
Also- are there any folding keyboards for this model? Can it be viewed in a landscapemode? Is this considered a mainstream machine or is it a limted app. niche unit?
Anyway thanx for your patience,
kdub
