Gemini PDA - Android / Android 8 battery drain

Sorry if this has previously come up, but I can't find it any where.

I have just upgraded my 4G X27 gemini to Android 8.1 (early 2019 image), and now have the battery draining in a small fraction of the time it used to.

Is there a fix for this, or a way to return to Android7?  I have not rooted the instrument, but have Linux as secondary boot.

Gemini PDA - Android / Yalp no longer working for me

Yalp is dead, now Aurora is also not working even with google accounts, as google did some "improvements" https://gitlab.com/AuroraOSS/AuroraStore/issues/217
Hopefully this is fixed but how long it will last? Are there any other aproaches to get the play store apps on the Gemini without google play?

Download Aurora version 3.1.4 from the gitlab site - this solved the issue for me.

Gemini PDA - Hardware / e-sim for USA visit ?

Well, the esim concept from Airalo proved to be impossible to implement. Having spent a whole 2 dollars on a 1gb 7 day SIM for Spain, i have failed to get it to work. Two methods of installation are offered: the scanning of a QR code, or the input of an activation code manually. Neither work. I've informed them, but realise Gemini pdas and the ESim wallet are well down their list. Maybe things will improve when they release their apps.

Have you had a look at this blog? Followed Jans instructiona and the esim looks like it loaded ok. Still to activate and test it.

Gemini PDA - Android / USB-Sticks <solved>

Hello,

now I have a USB-C-hub, and memorysticks are accessable with the Gemini now.  I wonder why this didn't work with the UCB-C-to-micro-adapters I tried.

Anyone uses such an adapter, or USB-C-to-A, and recommend some that works reliable?
I just don't like to have to connect a hub with a yard-long cable (well, slightly exaggerated ;-) ) only when I want to use a memorstick.

Check you have an OTG adaptor. The first adaptor I used didn't work, but the first OTG one works fine.
