Gemini PDA - Hardware / Screen durability and replacement

I haven't got my Gemini yet - it should be arriving in the next few weeks - but I've had a thought about the screen.
I tend to be pretty rough with my phones and have dropped them a few times. Luckily I usually have a model with Gorilla Glass and a fairly strong phone cover so I've only ever broken a screen once (by sitting on it).
Can anyone who has a Gemini tell me how durable they think the screen will be in resisting shocks? There are probably not enough in the wild for any screen to have been broken yet but I'd be interested to hear how much punishment the screen can put up with. If someone has broken their screen (or taken their Gemini apart), how easy do you think it will be to source and replace the screen/digitiser?
I'm constantly using my phone so the leather protector is not an option for me, although I might get one anyway for transport purposes. As far as I'm aware there are no phone covers available that will support the opening screen and expanding hinge - perhaps there never will be for such a niche product. Can anyone suggect any alternatives?
