Zaurus - pdaXrom / Seeking Advise For Tibetan Input
« on: October 21, 2005, 12:08:35 am »
I wish I could do Tibetan input on my C1000 that is running pdaXrom now.
The first choice for me is using m17n with SCIM. I understand some genius here might be working on it. Considered the file size and the actual need, it might be better if these languages can be installed separately. I don't think anyone will need all the 20+ languages anyway. For example, I will only need to add Tibetan.

The second choice for me is using the OpenVnilla. Could someone show me how to make it run on pdaXrom please?
The third choice is do keymaping. Such as EWTS http://www.tibetanportal.com/tibetanportal...boards/scripts/
Or the keymaping of Dzongkha http://www.thdl.org/tools/dzkeymap.html
Could KMFL (Keyboard Mapping for Linux) be run on pdaXrom?
The forth choice may be Pango + pango-tibetan-fc that is only available on Debian now.
Since I am a new bride on both Zaurus and Linux, any of your advice may be very valuable to me. Thanks in advance.
