Gemini PDA - Hardware / Sometimes Wifi won't register
« on: July 04, 2018, 12:03:43 pm »
Are there any limitations with Wifi that I should know about. Sometimes I notice that it just won't connect with wifi that it might have previously connected with. Sometimes it refuses to connect to new systems. It usually reports the network 'Saved' but not connected and occasionally reports authentication errors. It's happened on two networks where other devices are happy and rebooting at the time does not fix it. It then reverts to 4g which I don't want it to do.

Any advice appreciated, thanks, Jamie.

Gemini PDA - Hardware / HDMI Limitations?
« on: July 04, 2018, 11:55:54 am »
Anyone worked out why the HDMI port works with some projectors / screens and not others. One of the key reasons to buy mine was the ability to present using it rather than dragging a laptop everywhere with me. However only one screen I've tried to connect it to so far has worked and even then I had to reboot the second time I used it because it didn't see the screen that it had seen two days previously.

Advice welcome...

Thanks, Jamie.

Gemini PDA - Hardware / Adaptive Brightness all over the place
« on: June 21, 2018, 02:17:59 pm »
Hi guys,

I've been using adaptive brightness but it seems to move up and down a lot even when the light levels are the same. It's distracting and I've turned it off as a result. Is this normal?

Ta, Jamie

Hi there,

I've been using my Gemini for a couple of weeks and getting used to it. Love it. However I would like to be able to switch cast on and off directly from the settings bar at the top or from somewhere else a bit more accessible. Currently there's a lot of button pushing to get to it and toggle it. Anyone got any suggestions? I'm using the device for presentations and trying to reduce fiddle factor.

Cheers, Jamie.

Open the top drawer drawer by swiping down, then swipe down again. Then press the pencil icon at the top. Now you can drag the cast icon into the main drawer.

DOH! Thanks that is a great help, don't know why I couldn't see the pencil icon myself. Cheers, Jamie.
