Gemini PDA - Android / Firmware Update

My Gemini WiFi seems to be stuck on Android 7.1 from 10-08-18. No new update is detected in settings. Is there a way to force it to see the update?

I did hear back finally from a Planet. Told me to hold then ESC and silver buttons down until the device vibrates. Still nothing. They also want me to do a full restore. Not hopeful on that end

I will leave it in for a while. When I try to power on the Gemini it does vibrate but does not turn on. Also concerning is I’ve yet to hear from Planet Computers web site and it’s been almost 2 weeks. Send a few emails. Not a peep from them.

I have not used the Gemini that much over the past few months and let the battery sit uncharged. Once I did hear it try to turn on while plugged in but it didn’t. I can’t even get it to turn on while plugged in. I can try a different charger and see if that helps. I did have another charger from Planet Computers but that didn’t make a difference. The weird thing is I reached out to support a week ago and have not heard back.

My Gemini won’t take a charge. The red light comes on when plugged in but it will not charge. The red light is on but. Won’t charge or turn on even with it plugged in.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement battery?

Gemini PDA - Android / No update available

I have a Wi-Fi only Gemini and every time I look for an update it always states there are no updates. Is there a way to get device to see the update?  I’m still on Android 7.

Crazy thing is that is what I do and it keeps saying the version installed is the latest one. I can flash manually but shouldn’t have to do that.

I have the WiFi version but I’m still being told there is no update. Is there a way to coax it to find the update?

We might swap: my device keeps nudging me about an update I do not want  

You can go to Settings - "About" - and click on the first entry: should say something about update, not sure about the exact wording in english. Thus you trigger the search for updates process manually.

I must say Planet Computers is top notch. They send me a brand new unit.... not repaired or refurbished.

I just received mine also. Surprised it worked under Windows 10. Needed it to burn a restore USB for a friend to fix their desktop and my Windows PC only has USB C. Worked fine and even charged the laptop at the same time.

I had to send my Gemini in for service.  
Does anyone have experience with this?  So far rep has been very helpful.

Tried this but no luck. Still freezes right away.  Anyone else having any luck?
