I am having trouble as well. The update goes fine until the actual update step, but at that point I see an error message "E:/bin/sh/ failed with status 127". Any ideas?

Cosmo Communicator - Hardware / Rooting the Cosmo Communicator

In order to flash the full firmware image (a few posts up), do I use the SP Flash tool or TWRP? I tried the flash tool and it reports that the scatter file is an invalid format.

I installed TWRP, Linux and rooted Android and all was working fine. I then attempted to decrypt the Data partition so that I could use TWRP and managed to trash my standard (unrooted) Android installation so that it no longer boots. No problem with the other partitions.

Can anyone point me to the unrooted factory image so that I can re-install unrooted Android?

Try the links in this post: https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showto...st&p=294205

(Thanks, Ninji!)

Thank you for the information. I assume that I can use the scatter file (changing several filenames to specify the proper configuration) and then use the flash tool to burn the image. If I am mistaken, please advise.

Ironically, tried printing via wifi to my portable Epson, last night. Aside from one color being off, it printed fine.

A few details would help. What app did you use to print? How is the printer connected to the Cosmo?

Thanks

I am unable to print to my wifi-connected Epson printer. I have tried both Printhand and Epson's own printing utility and it appears that the Cosmo, although it sees the printer on the network, cannot communicate.

Has anyone had some experience printing on the Cosmo?

BTW, has anyone been able to use Magisk (or for that matter any superuser app) installed in rooted android?
Yes, I did.  I don't recall any particular problems, except that you have to install Magisk Manager, which is different from Magisk itself.  After doing that, I can use ‘tsu’ in Termux to run stuff as root.

I tried again and met with success after installing a bunch of unrelated apps. I am baffled. but at least Magisk is working.

You are right - a lot of options are now not working anymore. I do not know sailfish, but it looks like it has to do with it, because kali should not be affecting this boot sequence. I wonder why do not have others these problems? No more multibooter??
Regards, Andy

It seems that the latest version was issued with insufficient explanation. The Gemini user is not an appliance user and should not be treated as such.
