it should work as long as it's the same voltage. What i did to mine was, i added an extra battey which i got out of broken Pocket pc. I soldered some thin wire (so i could close the battery lid) to the battery and just taped the thin battey to the back of the zaurus, now i get about 4 hours of life with wifi and full brightness.

i really want a good gui video player so i can stream some video, so i have xmms (x multimedia system) and the mplayer xmms embedded so it runs video. problem is it doesnt work. When i type mplayer in terminal i get that the codecslconf file is incompatible. so does anyone know where to get the right version? or give me a walk through on how to install this player to run divx.
I've tried vlc but it doesnt work. Two of the packages i need from the main site do not work and do not install.
any help would be appreciated

Is there a way to stream video feeds from my windows PC with a tv card to my zaurus?
That would be so cool to do, if anyone has write ups on how to do this, i would really appreciate it.

Never mind i figured it out, i had to
chmod +s /usr/bin/smbmnt
and now it works

I tired using smbmount but keep getting this message"
"smbmnt must be installed suid root for diret user mounts (500,500)
smbmnt failed: 1mountsmbfs: ioctl failed, res=-1
could not umount /home/zaurus: invalid argument"
this is what i'm typing
smbmount //celeron-m/e /home/zaurus -o username=XXX,ro
then i type my password and it give me that message
what am i doing wrong?

I updated from a 2.xx but i'm using the drivers off the myszaurus site.
The drivers from that are the 3.10 roms udate they dont have the 3.13 update.
I've even tried unistalling all the old stuff several times and using the 3.13 cd drivers and it still doesnt work, i can sync but cant do the update.
Is it possible to do it throuhg a CF, all there is a setup in the updaterom folder nothing else.
