C1000/3x00 General discussions / 3k Pentesters Toolkit

Hi there,

I`m quite new to the Zaurus (proud owner of the 3100 since last November) and with Meanies help - great work! - I got the thing working all right, not just as a fancy dictionary... but now I`m wondering if there are equally detailed descriptions on how to make the 3k the ultimate Pentesters tool (with feed maybe? most .ipks used by Meanie I had to gather from various feeds all over the net).
I found irongeek`s page very helpful. He uses a 5500 with Openzaurus. though. Most of his guides won`t apply for the 3k series, I think.
Any ideas?

but I switched back to the original Sharp ROM this morning... less trouble with SD and WiFi card and right now the Japanese Input Method is a great help... yeah, I know, I`m lazy.

I will come back to OZ when my work here is done (and I really have the time to play around with my Zaurus). So again, thanks a lot, and greetings to the OZ devel team and community - you`re doing a great job there.

Yup, running Kernel 2.6.11

I edited the /etc/fstab but it still doesn`t work. Mounting /media/card now gives me:

mount: Mounting /dev/mmcblk0p1 on /media/card failed: No such file or directory

In /dev there are no mmc devices but mmcda, mmcda1 and mmcda2.
btw, I don`t find 'sdmgr' on my Zaurus. That should be responsible for the automounting SD stuff, I think.

Any Idea?

Hi,

I`m quite new to the Linux and Zaurus community, so be gentle...

I`ve problems installing an SD card on my OZ 3.5.3 Opie. In the FAQ it is said that SD card are mounted automatically. Well, in my case they aren`t.
And since my SD is my only connection the the outer world (I haven`t figured out how to connect to the local VPN or any other network with the Zaurus yet)...
When I try to mount the SD by 'mount /media/card' I get:

Mounting /dev/mmcda1 on /media/card failed: No such device or address

I already tried the 3.5.2 (opie) version of OZ, and the 3.5.3 (gpe). No problem there.

My specs:
Zaurus SL-C860 with OZ 3.5.3 Opie
SanDisk 512MB SD card
Planex GW-CF11X CF WiFi card

Openzaurus 3.5.3
opie-image-c7x0-20050411221036.rootfs.img
zImage-c7x0-20050411221036.bin

anybody help?
