Linux Issues / Install Kdepim/pi On Ubuntu

Hi All!

I tried to install kdepim/pi on my ubuntu.

It's installed on my C3000, my windows,both works fine together by network, but I use windows only for sync !!!!

I used alien to convert and install kdepim/pi rpm, i have some files in /opt/kdepim but when i launch ko/pi, anything happens.

mess:
undefined symbol: _ZN14QPlatinumStyleC1Ev
when i launch it in a terminal

for om/pi i have :
./ompi: error while loading shared libraries: libqt.so.3: cannot open shared obj ect file: No such file or directory



I have qt3 libs installed, this app is platform independant so what is the problem?

I am not a specialist in linux but i use ubuntu for more than 6 month whitout problems.

Any ideas?

I found some bugs in Cacko3kb1 but is it still interresting if another release is in preparation?
Question:
there is another branch of dev (based on 1.23) or not? (iamasmith?)

The bug i found is when i use IR between my phone and my Z, he directly reboot to the countdown ("wait 5..4...3...") and bootsplash... After i can't suspend, i need a reset.

is it possible to have a root archive for a dual boot easily ? (like RC10.4)
I have some problems to use it now, maybe RC12 resolves it.

ok it works but I must plug my Wifi CF asus WL110 before booting !!??
if i don't plug a CF or put a memory CF there are errors with startx.

I managed to launch X but wifi doesn't work and many softs don't do anything.

I will stop working on this and be patient.
but Cacko don't suspend and it's a real problem...

ok I formatted, reinstalled Cacko 1.23b1 before re-read carefully the tuto but the error is the same, i noticed it :

# startx
...
..(...calibration...).
...
/home/root/.xserverrc: line 2: /opt/QtPalmtop/bin/Xqt: no such file or directory
giving up
xinit: No such ...
...server error
#
 putting QtPalmtop and creating /opt doesn't change the problem (of course but i tried :-) )

any ideas?
There isn't /opt directory

It was very hard for me to arrive to the '#' prompt !!
but startx don't load x because of missing /opt/...Qt/...
But you never talked about this. I don't understand where i'm wrong...
i tried pdaxrom on CF and it's OK but no on hdd3.
