OpenBSD / Sitting Here In Limbo

Using the instructions here:
http://www.xlfag.com/zaurus/

I was able to restore to the point where I could execute the ipk, and all is fine. I would like to thank xlfag for the instructions. I would also like to thank everyone who did not respond and forced me to figure it out on my own ;-)

OpenBSD / Sitting Here In Limbo
« on: October 19, 2005, 06:04:33 pm »
I have installed OpenBSD 3.8, but I can only boot to it using the b and d trick. I ran ipkg on the on the openbsd38_arm.ipk file, and it seemed to run fine, but now I see no evidence that it actually ran, i.e. there is no boot.conf in /etc for example. Also, I never get a boot prompt. However, I am successful if I use the b and d trick and insmod zbsdmod.o and ./zboot off of the CF. This sends me to a boot> prompt and then I type "bsd" and I am in OpenBSD which works fine.

What are my options to fix the boot sequence? Would rather not blow away my OpenBSD install if possible, could I just boot to CF somehow, or is there a manual way to replicate what the .ipk sequence was supposed to do?
