Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Helvetica Font Causing Errors On Install
« on: January 26, 2006, 10:48:28 am »
I'm working on getting Opera installed, and have installed qte-font-common. But when I try to install the next thing, qte-font-helvetica-large (or small), I get the following error.

root@collie:/media/cf/Opera# ipkg -d sd install qte-font-helvetica-small_3.3.3-r3_all.ipk
Installing qte-font-helvetica-small (3.3.3-r3) to sd...

postinst script returned status 127
ERROR: qte-font-helvetica-small.postinst returned 127

(I'm running 3.5.4rc1 with the 2.4.18-rmk7-pxa3-embedix kernel.)

What have I missed?

Also, I'm just copying the ipk's down and installing them from flash, should I be doing it over a network connection? Would that automatically pull down whatever it needs at the time?

Thanks.

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / How To Format Sd Card? --gotit

In going to 3.5.3, I made sure not to have the SD card inserted on first boot. Then when I put it in for the first time, it asked what I wanted to do. After that, I was able to unmount it, then get it formatted.

I've gone back to OZ after trying it a while ago, but am having some troubles.

I decided to re-install it and format my SD card, but it's not working. I can't unmount it,  (Device in use error) but it doesn't show as mounted when I click the little icon at the lower right. This works fine for my CF cards, but not the SD card.

I'm running kernel 2.4.18. I'm pretty sure I loaded OZ 3.5.4rc1, so I was going to try dropping back to 3.5.3 and see if that lets me do it.

Any ideas? It mounts during boot, and something ties it up so I can't unmount it for a format.
