thx for fast shipping to Austria, I bought this 2000mAh on ebay.
Trisoft nor Pulster has the battery listed so I guess better do it with Mark :-)

I'll let you know in a few weeks how long it's working on my C1K.

Well, I hate to say it, but this new battery deffinitely does not have the life of my original battery. For the third time now, I have pulled out my Z, only to find it stone cold dead.
I have actually only run the original battery completely dry about two times in the two years I've had it, and both times were due to OS lockup that caused the Z to fail to auto-suspend.
Any suggestions from anyone? I would like to do a more scientific test before trying to return it. Thanks.

Yes, I have noticed almost the same now, fully charged, OK, Z shows 100%, working and playing for 2 hours, had 88%, then suspend the Z for exact 9 hours and guess only 63% left and I think in some more hours on standby it'll be fully empty.
This proofs something isn't working right with the re-build battery on standby...
On playing video or games, mp3 it's not that easy to notice any difference to the original accu.

How can I mesure the mAh of the accu ? I start to think it might only have 1200-1400...

I have this:
Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000, USB

and well searched, installed the ipk from figlabs around here (somewhere) the same is with cacko 1.23 alone, CAN not move the mouse in right positions. The mouse pointer is on the screen but not moveable to get working with it, it just jumps up / left / down...

Is there something to install or is it just with Cacko ? Then I'll have to try pdax rom...

I put the USB mouse 'stick' into an external usb hub (with AC), powers on, all OK but as described above not 'really' working.

I love that handy little mouse and would like to have it with me...working.

Another question how do I 'say' Cacko that there are more USB devices on the hub ? Well I put into a usb stick, works great, fast 512MB Kingston, then I wanted to add my card reader with a memorystick from my digital camera, but that is no where---) I want to copy those files from ms to usb stick via Z.
I tried the USB reader with ms alone, it works and I could copy the pics to my CF in the Z.

well I still can't figure out if it's important to have more free Ram or let it be in cache.

on my Windoof and Linux PC's I have as much as possible free Ram (not many autoload ...) on my old PPCs Ram was most times quite important - at least to have more...

has someone PdaXrom installed and can check how much is 'free' ?

I notice that the memory usage is quite strange on my C1K using cacko 1.23.

When I reboot the Z I have: Total Memory 63.787 KB free about 5.500KB (app. fast load off).
When I start Zemu frontend I'll get after finishing it MORE free Ram, using Kino2 means getting lower Ram afterwards...strange.
I notice the cached ram lowers then...
Now I'd like to know: Is the free memory as imprtant as on my home pc or is it just reflashing alone so I have sometimes more and sometimes less free Ram ?

I have no swap file.


PS: I did a search 'memory' and 'memory free' interesting but not enough infos.

I bought one of Lauter's batteries via PULSTER.de cause I also wanted a charger.
The lifetime of the batt. is good in my C1000, same or only a bit less my original one.
When you receive the batt., well you get a little shock, it's really ugly looking from the outside...but what counts it works in the Z and the ext. charger is also OK with it.

Sorry Ludwig, you've had the same price as Pulster this time. However a 3000mAH I'd still like to have...

I tried to do this Nand Backup for the 1st time and the Z didn't recognise my 2GB Fat16 CF Kingston Elite Pro...grrr

Well I seached for an old CF I have for a my digital camera, a Sandisk Ultra II 256MB, did OK and I the backup was over in 4-5 min.

Maybe I should have done this before I flashed to Cacko 1.23?
Hmm, I just got the file from Trisoft (thx for sharing !), hope it'll work OK if I ever need to flash back to Sharp.

May I ask ? When I reseize the flash (like I did during Cacko installation) and then reflash to 'original' Rom is the the flash reseized automatically ? I ask because when I want to try pdx I have to reseize again...

about the 3000mah is it finished yet or are you still waiting for more people?

I'd buy one and still will for the next few months untill the 2200mah gets cheaper.

which framerate do you get with zpce? Which resolution? With sound?

just tried R-Type, sound is OK, not best quality (I switch it off).
grafix / scrolling with 416MHz OK, but a bit slow --) this you won't notice during jump&run or the flipper.
However it's fun to play those oldies - most of them where real Arcade versions.

I like / love emulators...

WELL Done !
Yes, it works ! I LOVE BONK, just a few freaks got the PCE many years ago, fine to have the oldies but goldies handy.
1941 and Ghouls 'n Ghosts from SGX doesn't run (both are 1MB files).

SNES works fine but my NES still not - though I copied the rc. files to the NES on znester...as mentioned in the SNES Emu thread.

WHAT can I do to get the NES working ? It's just some oldies I'd like to have on my way to gamble a bit...

Oh, I had to delete the rc file, which I copied because it messed up the buttons, now left is left and so on...

hmmm, can someone pls help: I have C1K on Cacko1.23 full, installed all in this snes+nes package BUT only SNES is working!
why ?
I tried my roms almost all SNES start and run, key seems OK, at least on Zelda, Arkanoid...when I start any NES rom (from this package) or my owns in Z EMU FrontEnd EX it switches (same on SNES) to rotate for 1 sec. but then it's back in the Front End menu.
Don't know what's wrong  

where's that znester.rc ? I copied the znester from qtpalmtop / bin but it's not a rc file so whats that file ?

Well I use this Forum and another one in German(y) often. This means I read and try to understand BUT as I'm not the Linux Guy I don't understand all.

It's called "Konsole".  I don't recall where it was because I've moved my icons all over the place, but it may have been under "Applications".  There aren't that many tabs to start with ... just look for it?

hmm, I mean what to type INTO the Konsole to know what libs a .ipk needs to run.

10] Search the forum ... I read something recently about fonts on Qtopia, and there was a link to instructions, even on how to make your own fonts.  In fact, it's the thread just before this one, called "Fonts for Qtopia".

I did, and got the fonts that's what made me think about antialiasing (like on PPC or even Windows)
