"That's the settings tab in your opie gui not opera? If you don't have a libraries icon in your settings tab... did you:

ipkg-link add sharp-compat-libs
ipkg-link add opie-sh

then reload icons or restart opie

Give that a try

Greg"

Correct. I appreciate the help. I want the libraries icon in my opie settings tab. I did not get as far as linking the libraries because during the ipkg install I received the message for a missing opie-base dependency. Isn't the opie-base package already installed be default with 3.5.4RC or is this a compatibility issued where I need to install and older version of opie-base?

I was succesful adding the libraries icon to my settings menu. Thanks for all the pointers!

What openzaurus 3.5.3 package give you the /etc/init.d/quickexec file? When I try to install sharp-compat-libs to ram on a fresh install of openzaurus 3.5.3 I get the message /etc/init.d/quickexec: file does not exist.
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=84779\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

I received the same error while trying to install sharp-compat-libs today:

# ipkg -d sd install sharp-compat-libs_0.5-r2_arm.ipk
Installing sharp-compat-libs (0.5-r2) to sd...
Configuring sharp-compat-libs
update-rc.d: /etc/init.d/quickexec: file does not exist
postinst script returned status 1
ERROR: sharp-compat-libs.postinst returned 1

Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

I manually copied quickexec to init.d to fix this problem:

cp /media/card/packages/etc/init.d/quickexec    /etc/init.d

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Oz 3.5.4 With Sharp-compat Libs

Will the libs from the 5500 3.5.3 feed work with 3.5.4? Specifically the sharp-compat libs?

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Right Shift Key

On the CL-860 Is there a way to map the right shift key under oe_3.5.2/opie so that it actually works as a shift key?

Not having the right shift key work on my CL-860 is one of the more annoying features in 3.5.1/3.5.2/opie.

Note that on my SL-5500 and oe_3.5.2/opie the right shift key works like a champ. So maybe this is an issue with the CL-xxx models.

Where can I find the ipk file for opie sheet? Does anyone have a copy or a better alternative app?

'Repackaged the ipk with ipkg-utils-1.7 for OZ compatibility.'

Will these utils give me the libraries option in settings? I currently don't have that option.

Which 'rom' are you running sloot?

If it's OZ, this may be because you need to run the compat libs on the binary,

Where is the best place to download compat libs? Do you have to get it from the feed or you can you simply download it to a desktop drive and use scp from there?

What compatible libraries are the best for my SL5500 and latest Collie ROM image? This is my third load on my SL5500 and I want to save some time and make sure I have as many compatible libraries as possible.]

I have read the oz-compat howto but is the best I can do?
