Cosmo Communicator - Android / v22 is coming this week

We'll see, we'll see...

A question:

Why they don' t update Today or tomorrow if everything is fine now ? And only possibly on Monday ?

I hope this time the date is correct and we don' t wait a long time again.

Let' s see.

 

I would hazard a guess it coincides with them returning to their London office.....

Over excitement about firmware upgrades in these rather troubled times are comical if nothing else!

I would install it straight away, it seems less and less stable every day anyway so I don't see I have anything to lose!

The bit it seems to struggle with most is phone calls and I guess the problem for me is it is a phone!!

V20. But it most commonly happens when I go out with the phone so I think it may be more some loose battery connection.

V20 is the random reboot version.... V21 is no better!

They will not replace your unit! it is a software issue that will be resolved within a few days

Unless I am wrong!

V21 for me has become increasingly unstable for some reason with more & more random reboots so I for one am looking forward to V22!

I have mobile data on both my sims....

wifi was a bit iffy after I reset it.

cannot seem to get auto rotate to work at all now though....

Wait, this phone actually should have auto rotate? I have never made it work. I thought it doesn't have this feature.

Yes, I  found out why it wasn't working! it has two different settings for it.

1 display- advanced-auto rotate screen

2 app bar-planet-app bar-settings(next to selectable apps)-uncheck force

When I looked through my battery usage yesterday it looked like it had shutdown for a while so I suspect something isn't quite right!

Cosmo Communicator - Hardware / Rooting the Cosmo Communicator

To get back root, you need to use sp_flashtool to grab the image off it, then use magisk manager to re-patch that image, and then flash it using fastboot again. I haven't done this yet.

I just selected the rooted android version in the boot menu & it appears to be rooted and working as it should
