so I tried it anyway. got some errors.

if anyone could help with this it would be really good, I think its the last thing stopping it from working.

Have you install gemain-desktop?

Have you also tried to run apt-get -f install? Also try and install kernel headers.
Hey thanks for your response,
Could you let me know what to type into terminal?

you have to unlock the file (with a command thats ambiguous to new users) before you can edit it with hexedit.
is it just "chmod " command ?
chattr -i

It says in the wiki for debianTP ( https://github.com/gemian/gemini-keyboard-apps/wiki/DebianTP ) you need to update the android system image to get audio working in calls.
On this page ( https://github.com/gemian/gemini-keyboard-a...dSystemLXCImage ) it shows how to do it but my md5 output isnt listed. Nor is it listed on the planet firmware page for android.
I was wondering weather it would be safe to do the update anyway?
Thanks

my system image is: 412fd070ba98b8f863cbddb50b09d2d3

<<  cant edit mac address in hexedit, it says read only. so wifi settings arent remembered. >>

the "read only" problem is because you are not root when you edit a file system.

the fix was from this thread: https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showto...mp;#entry292144

just need to get sound from the phone app now.

to install ofono scripts, have you do this (in root) ?

systemctl enable ofono
systemctl start ofono
apt install ofono-scripts

ok so ive got wifi auto connecting after reboot, it remembers my password now. you have to unlock the file (with a command thats ambiguous to new users) before you can edit it with hexedit.
only issue now is that theres no sound when making a call...

hey im going through the resources on updating my debian install from planet computers guide and the wiki/ forums. however there are still a few niggling issues.

1 cant edit mac address in hexedit, it says read only. so wifi settings arent remembered.

2 calls dont work (no audio) - maybe fixed with apt upgrade but...

3 cant do apt upgrade because of common libreoffice problem. ive tried multiple documented fixes. screenshot of issue attatched.

Thanks
