Cxx0 General discussions / Info: Charging and Ghosting

Bundabrg, Aussie, thank you both for your help! You both rock!

Having just moved country, I don't have the resources such as wire or a multimeter, but through patience and following along the cricket, I was able to charge the battery from the menu. It only seemed to have lost the battery, nothing else. Has anyone worked out why yet?

General Discussion / Problem With On/off Button

I'm gonna try attacking it with a small screwdriver and fixing it.

Well, I attacked it with a small screwdriver. The switch required a little bit of force to pry it forward. It doesn't look quite so pretty now. On the other hand, it works fine. There were no left over parts.

Unfortunately, I have now developed a problem with the SD card - I can't seem to get it out. If anyone finds themselves taking apart a c-3000, I'd recommend taking out the SD and CF cards first.

Thanks for your help.

I'm gonna try attacking it with a small screwdriver and fixing it.

Does anyone have any advice for me of things to do/things not to do when opening it up to drag the switch back?

General Discussion / Problem With On/off Button

Please help!

Today I tried to start up my c3000, and it wouldn't start up. After following through various discussions, I managed to start it up going through DM then DB then logging in as root.

When I was in the DM menu, I couldn't do anything - neither buttons nor touching the screen would register.

Now that I am back able to use it again, the on/off button doesn't actually seem to do anything.

Also, the button feels like it is stuck partially pressed in - I can push it using the stylus but I can't push it with my fingers. Even when I push it in with the stylus, it doesn't do anything.

Is there a way I can fix the button physically?

If that isn't the cause of the problem, can I reclaim the on/off functions without factory resetting? If not, will factory resetting do any good?

Thanks in advance
