General Discussion / Wireless Headphones Via A2dp
« on: May 08, 2006, 09:46:47 pm »
I have read existing posts on this topic but I'd really appreciate any advice, or pointers to a tutorial, on getting wireless headphones to work with my C3100 (Cacko 1.23 ROM) using bluetooth A2DP protocol.
Any suggestions?

General Discussion / Disable On/off Button?
« on: April 10, 2006, 12:14:32 am »
I find I tend to accidently press the on/off button on my c3100 all too frequently when holding my Z. Is it possible to disable or remap the on/off button?

Edit: I'm thinking of mapping Fn-OK as resume and Fn-Cancel as suspend.

Accessories / Sd To Cf Adapter. Anyone Use These?
« on: March 06, 2006, 06:22:09 pm »
I also use an SD-CF adapter from Mittoni with my C3100 (sorry, no model number or identification i can give you) but it does contain the SD card completely and fits within the CF slot with no overhang. I use it with a 2GB SD card with no problems at all. Using Cacko 1.23.

My hand is up! I have had the Z for a month or so now. Tried a few ROMs and have settled on Cacko for the time-being. Loving it

Any advances on the below thread as far as getting BT headphones to work with the Z?

<quote> IMHO it's just a matter of time for it to work fine on the Zaurus since one of the devel (Brad) is aiming at ARMs. <\quote>

I have a C3100 with Cacko 1.23 and want to use my Logitech headphones with A2DP.

Software / Java Install On C3100 - Noob Alert
« on: January 18, 2006, 11:30:52 pm »
Circumvented my problem by flashing to Cacko 1.23 ROM. Jeode installed and java apps run without a problem. Never did find out what my problem was under the stock Sharp ROM

General Discussion / More On 2gb Sd Support
« on: January 18, 2006, 09:55:54 pm »
Unfortunately, I did not check this forum before rushing out to buy a 2GB SD card for my C3100 (Cacko 1.23). Very disappointed to find the card is not supported. Is this just a driver issue that may one day be resolved, or is it inherent to the SD slot hardware?
At the moment, I use the 2GB SD card in a small card reader attached to the Z's USB port. It works fine but a bit slow for, say, watching video, but is still useful as additional storage.

Software / Java Install On C3100 - Noob Alert
« on: January 12, 2006, 05:48:16 pm »
Thanks Meanie. I must say, discovering your website was one of the reasons I bought a Z in the first place. So it's all your fault!
As mentioned, I installed "jeode_1.10.7_arm.ipk" with the intention of using "Spoken" text-to-speech software. But I can not even get the Jeode demo programs to run (jeode-demos_1.10.6_arm.ipk). Do these programs need any switches to run?
I will continue to work through your Customisations page.
Cheers

Software / Java Install On C3100 - Noob Alert
« on: January 11, 2006, 11:15:00 pm »
I recently acquired  a SL-C3100 (standard Sharp ROM with the Tetsu Kernel update installed) and despite having installed Jeode (jeode_1.10.7_arm.ipk), I can not get java apps to run. The icon changes to "busy" and I see the hourglass icon, but that soon stops. Nothing else happens.
I have also tried blackdown-jdk_1.3.1_arm.ipk with similar results.
Any suggestions for this noobie (to Linux as well as Zaurii) how to diagnose and solve this?
