Has anyone tried using a usb keyboard with your Archos?
If so, which keyboard and what Archos model?

Snappy
on my PMA430 I'm using a Stowaway USB Portable Keyboard
made by Think Outside Inc
their SKU is BSTWUSB

works just fine, I forget what it cost but it's much cheaper than
the Archos keyboard although the Archos keyboard may have
some "Archos-centric" special function keys that the Stowaway does not

Happy hunting

I hope I understand your questions correctly, I'm attempting answers based on my PMA400

You should be able to just drag and drop or "copy" files between your
Archos and your PC going either way. You can copy single files
or the entire folder(s)

As for your music, you may only need to start the Music, click in the band the appears at the top of the screen to get the "menu"
select "file" then "update Arclibrary" I think that should do the trick

regards
good luck

I'm no expert on Archos file formats so my response will be a bit limited
I have the PMA400 and I just direct record via the cradle from either
my DVD or cable box

If the Imac has conventional video and audio ports that the Archos cables can plug into (yellow-video and red/white-audio) you could
potentially play the video on the Imac and directly record it into
the Archos

I haven't attempted a transfer video onto my PC and then over to the Archos
unit. My guess is I'll need some form of "conversion" from PC recorded format to that of the Archos

regrads and good luck

I connected my PMA400 to my TV via docking station
queued up the movie list in the PMA window
selected a video and clicked the on screen, green triangular "run" button
THEN pressed the LCD/TV switch and my movie  played
just fine

I then repeated the procedure per your process and it too worked fine except that I had to push the silver, center "start" button  a couple of times before I could get the movie to start, again it worked fine

My guess is you've solved this problem by now, good luck
