This kernel is built without remapping Japanese keys to Ctrl and Alt.

Sharp ROMs / Japanese Kernel For Cacko Rom 1.22

Japanese Kernel is a special version of kernel image for Cacko ROM 1.22. The main difference is that it doesn't have the two Japanese keys mapped to Ctrl and Alt, allowing for Japanese input methods to work properly. Full release notes are available below.

Sorry to dig this old topic up, but I've just bought a new C860 and installed the Japanese support files over Cacko 1.23, but the two Japanese keys are still stuck as Ctrl and Alt.  I think this is the same situation as Cacko 1.22.

Belated request, but can the Japanese Kernel be updated to 1.23 please?

I really love the Cacko 1.23, but also need the two Japanese keys on the C860. Please update the Kernel. Thanks

would it make sence, if i flash the Cacko1.23 with the japanese Kernel from the 1.22??

I've actually tried it earlier on. It does release the two keys, but unfortunately it will also screw up the memory card mount/unmount process, among other things...

Any news on this topic? ...would it make sence, if i flash the Cacko1.23 with the japanese Kernel from the 1.22?? Or did anyone found a way to remap the keys?

Hello,

flashed Cacko 1.23 with japanese support. The little Problem i have is that i cant use the japanese keys to change the input method. Has someone an idea how to fix this?? I tried the keyhelper, but i dont know how to use it.

i have a C860 and want to use the new 1.23 Version of Cacko-Rom, but i need full support of japanese. Is there a special japanese Kernel for it like for the 1.22.
