Just wonering, what is the latest status on Coredump's poodle?

Thanks,
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=125892\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

I sent it out to him awhile ago, but he messaged me the other day and said it is stuck in customs.  We're currently trying to get it out of customs, so that we can get some actual work done on it

All I've seen is this post on OZ about the other poodle. CubicleLord or Coredump, care top give us an update?

I sent Coredump a receipt today, that will hopefully allow him to get it out of Customs.  Not sure why the international mail system needs to be so painful

Great news!

We have reached the point where I will no longer accept donations for the SL5600 being sent to Coredump.  If you missed this chance and still want to donate, check out this page and donate to one of the awesome OZ developers.

http://openzaurus.org/wordpress/developers/

Thanx to the following people for monetary donations:

grog - $50
PhilSalkie - $50
hvontres - $30
Steven999 - $20
fubeca - $15
CubicleLord - Shipping plus Paypal fees (probably $20 or so)

I am just waiting to hear back from Coredump on where he would like the 5600 sent to.  Thanx again for everyone involved!

My 10 € were only for supporting the kernel development.
So you have to delete me from the list.

Due to fact that work on OZ 3.5.4.x took too much of my time in last months I do not want to work on getting poodle better supported - prefer to spend this time with Ania (my fiancée). I got 3.5.4.1-alpha2 released yesterday after few days of fighting with nonworking image and now have an unwritten list of things todo with next releases. Adding work on not-so-good supported device into this will be overkill - I'm trying to decrease amount of time spent on OE/OZ.

Since RP - our kernel god   - already got a Poodle to work with, I'd be happy to polish up Poodle for OZ / GPE / Opie.

Hrw, thanx so much for your hard work on 3.5.4.x.  We totally understand that you need time with the family too    Heck, I have a family of my own to take care of (2 kids and 1 more on the way!)

CoreDump, you are my hero.  Does anyone, NOT want CoreDump to get our 5600?

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Sl5600 Oz 354 And Socket Low Power Wifi Cf?
« on: April 13, 2006, 09:55:31 am »
I actually had a low-power wifi card with my 5600.  Tried it on 3.5.2 or 3.5.3, I think.  But I got the same behavior.  I tried to track down the problem with the OZ developers, but none of them had a 5600.  One of them said that his low-power wifi card worked just fine with a 5500.  *sighs*

Good news is, the OZ kernel developer has received, or will receive very soon, a 5600, and we're in the process of sending another 5600 to another OZ developer.  See this thread:

I've seen some posts on the OZ devel list about other poodles making themselves available. Maybe Hrw could give us an update here? As well (assuming CubicleLord agrees to be the broker) then maybe yuo could PM the address to send the Z out to?

Yeah, my friend is still OK with selling his Zaurus.  I am OK with being the broker for the whole deal.  Here is my paypal address:  <Paypal address removed to prevent further donations>

I guess what I really need, is for Hrw to let us know where to ship it, and for everyone else deposit the money that you committed.  Once we have those two things we can get another 5600 for an OZ developer.  I'll post once a day to let everyone know where we're at.

CubicleLord, where's your buddy located? And Hrw, where should we have the unit sent?

Good news.  I got my buddy to go down on price, to $160 (for the Z5600, Power Cable, and Dock), plus whatever it takes to ship it wherever.  We guess if they're in the US, then it shouldn't be more than $10.

BTW, my buddy and I are both located in Utah, USA.

CubicleLord, is you're friend's Z still up for sale?

Yep, he'll still sell it.  I'm pretty sure it's a PXA250, and not a PXA255 though.

I just talked with one user on #gpe - our 2.6 kernel hacker Richard Purdie will get poodle for shipping costs.

So sooner or later we will get 2.6 on poodle

That is awesome!

Hey guys,

Glad to see that we're still trying to get a 5600 for the OZ developers.  I have a friend that's willing to sell his for $225.  If you want to go with that let me know, and I'll get it arranged.

I could chip in $15.  I don't see any more good 5600 auctions on ebay though.  Let's keep the thread going though, I would really like to see an OZ developer with a 5600!
