Archos forum / Archos Utility Program
« on: May 04, 2006, 05:03:21 am »
Hello Everyone,

I will be looking to program a new piece of software specifically for the archos that does several different things. At the moment i plan introdce features such as music/picture/video library updating (by looking at file structures on both the Archos and your Desktop pc), mp3 tag updating and saving (including album art) and my playlist type conversion program.

Basically, i want this to be a useful and FREE piece of software that is available to the general public. This means including functionality that people want but do not currently have, so i would be grateful if you could all post suggestions of features you would like to see.

Any help is much appreciated,

Thomas

Archos forum / Av500 : Music Playback Question
« on: April 07, 2006, 05:48:19 am »
hi, queueing music is fine, just create a playlist and keep adding stuff, and you can save it. You can also shuffle and move stuff. Its straight forward to do really. Its a great piece of machinery.

Also, it is possible to browse music, there is an option to view the ARC (music) library and keep the music playing, which i do all the time. that review is wrong.

HTH,

Thomas

As far as im concerned, and if i have interpretted your post correctly, both are possible. I recorded a program from tv and transferred it to pc, and it plays fine. Also, i have loads of .avi that play in WMP and they play fine on the Archos. its a great lightly DVR/DMP

Archos forum / Conversion To Archos Playlist (.m3u)
« on: March 18, 2006, 07:44:46 am »
Hi Everyone,

I have a small niggle with Apple's iTunes. It will not save playlists as .m3u! So, i thought i would make a small XML2M3U Converter thats converts iTunes playlists into .m3u files that can be used on our Archos'.

You can find out all about my software at:

http://www.geocities.com/dbabwebb/projects/xml2m3u/

If you would like a copy, feel free to drop me a mail at thomas.c.webb@btinternet.com

Thanks in advance,

Thomas Webb
