I have the same problem.   Only when I select AV i still get a blank blue screen.


Any other suggestions???

Hey people,

I have just got my Archos AV 500.  I first set it up in a hotel and it worked fine.  When I set it up at home it doesnt work.  I followed the setup instructions exactly.  I feed the tv signal from my cable box thru the docking station and then to my tv.

When i turn on everything, my AV 500 cannot record anything,  the dvr says no input signal.  When I turn on my tv, it cannot get any cable channels.

I can control my dvr with the remote so it is getting power.  I have set up av in and out correctly, i even tried it the wrong way around hoping for the best.

My tv also has an AV out.  This i can set up, but because it is tv out it will only allow me to record of the free channels, no satelite    

I have 2 AV in connections and cannot get either of them to work.  I doubt a firmware upgrade would work???

I have other AV devices which work fine, so its not the tv that is broke.

Any help on this would be greatly appriciated.
