Does anyone out there have a nand backup image of the original sharp stuff for a poodle with 250 cpu??

I found only one so far and it is a TheKompany Rom rather than original sharp.
So you simply do a NAND restore of 'that' one and then flash the Sharp image.

Unless I'm missing something, I tried that and I don't get sharp coming up it still says TheKompany and I have none of the hancom software or anything.  Did I do it wrong???

After you flash the Sharp Rom you must once again bring up the maintenance menu and select Format.

Here's the files:

Any specific place to look for current dated updates by the 2 developers doing Poodle work?  The status page on OZ gets changed but no dated information to tell when things are getting fixed.  Maybe a blog with just little notes regarding what got fixed when and by whom and if other bugs are found where to report them to and where the latest test releases can be downloaded.

Thanks

I don't know alot about linux.  I could use my winxp laptop to do this if I knew what program to use.  I don't even know if it is getting an IP from the router and what it is.  I guess I could check the router's IP table for that though..  sorry, just typing to myself I guess...

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Is There A Wifi Sitesurvey App For Oz?
« on: April 12, 2006, 11:52:52 am »
I'm wondering if there is a site survey app for OZ.  One that can give me a full list of available wifi spots in the area and then allow me to choose which one to connect to.  standard sharp rom just seems to connect to whatever is available unless you force the networking applet to do otherwise.
It would need to show me channel, signal strength, type of encryption and SSID.  I'm not familiar with linux very much at all, but on Windows I use a program called net stumbler because my laptop maker didn't include an app like this for windows.

I tried putting this combination together and in opie the card configuration comes up and then after that the system locks up on the next thing I click on.  In gpe the system locks upon insertion of the card.  Is there something I'm missing in regards to wifi usage here?

I know the carfd works with stock 1.32 rom.

Also, you can throw in What you use your 5600 for.

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Oz & 5600 Wipe Out Games And Hancom Stuff?

If that puts it back to original state then great.  That way if I decide not to get the thing I can put it back to sharp rom and give it back to him none the wiser.

I was curious about when I install OZ.  Does it wipe out the original hancom and games and such?  as I like several of those games?

If so, is there a way to get them back .  I want to know this as the poodle isn't mine yet but I want to try OZ on it.

The short answer is yes, it will wipe all of the Sharp Rom stuff off. Which Games are you pining for? A lot of them also exist in the OZ feeds.

As for the Hancom stuff, it won't run on OZ, but there are some possible replacements in the feeds.

Good luck,

What I'm looking for is if I put OZ on the unit, how do I get it back to the original state if I decide I don't like OZ or I give it back to the guy?
