Mac Issues / Still Any Mac&zaurus Users/developers There?

Mac, linux and zaurus user form Argentina (posibly the only one).

I do not realy sync them but I connect them through wifi. At this time I'm giving a try to GPE. Thanks for all teh great work of everyone in this forum!!!

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Mplayer On Gpe

Hi! I've just moved from OPIE to GPE on my Collie. I was using mplayer on OPIE as my mp3 player as I somehow didn't like xmms's sound.

I read that there was a isue with mplayer and the last hentges rom (libmad0.so). I'm usin mpg321 for mp3 playing but I realy liked mplayer on my zaurus.

Is there any news on making it work? Or any other application which i should use?

Mac users cince 1994 (powemac 6100) and owned a Newton 120. I now have a ibook late 2005 and a sl-5500. At the office I have a prety fast Slackware machine. I rarely use windows so I don't realy know how to work with it.

Software / Earth3d

Earth3D (http://www.earth3d.org/) is a program that visualizes the earth in realtime in a 3D view. As Google Earth but with some realtime data (ie: cloud coverage). I understand it uses OpenGL which may be some kind of trouble for the zaurus. And it seems to be a bit demanding for our hardware.

Do you think there's there any posibility of porting it to zaurus?

I got it installed but where are al the includes? I don't have stdio.h. Did I do something wrong? Do I have to install other packages?

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Suspend Fails

I had the same problems on an sl-5500.

I could suspend through the menue not with the cancel button. The cancel button use to freez my zaurus. Now I'm in opie but just in case I use the menue.

On the other hand setting the time was some kind of trouble on GPE also.

I allso had some problems with some users that couldn't log in that I could solve copying the users configuration files from a working one to a not working one.

I prety new in the zaurus world but I jumped around from Sharp and OZ (GPE and OPIE). I realy liked GPE but I felt some stuff needed to be a bit mor polished and I had the impresion that some apps where missing. Finaly I move to OZ/OPIE.

I used a cheap 64mb Memorex (recognised as samsung) to flash wit no problems.
