Archos forum / Just Flash Me You Stupid Sscreen Av400

PLEASE HELP!!
So I have an av400 and I burnt out the charger a while ago, but finally got a new one from www.mp3technology.com It charged it up, and I got a chance to transfer some of my files over to my computer, (I have a lot of very important files on it). Then i went to bed. When I woke up, to transfer the rest of my files, all it wulddo is hold the ootscreen that says av400 starting up or something. It would hold that screen as long as I held the on button. Then I went out of town, came back, left it sitting there, but then it started just holding a totally white screen as long as I held the on button. Then after a few more days it would just flash the white screen for 3 seconds, off for half a second, then on again for 3 seconds, like a slow strobe light. Now, it just flashes the screen white once, and then stays blank. During this process the on light is on as long as I hold the button and until i let go.
does anyone know how to fix this or something? Archos says the first thing thye do is to reformat it when they get it, and I cant have this. Please help!
