Software / xmms deps

thanks for the tip ... got it working, albeit only from the terminal. Any attempt to launch it from the icon gets a \"please wait\", then exits. Any ideas on this ? CAn\'t see anything obvious in the qt xmms icon that needs changing (calls xmms ... what else ?)

Qt/Qtopia / 640x480 pdf

any pdf viewers out there capitalize on the 640x480 resolution ? I installed qpdf2 and it functions, but the viewer obviously was made for the lower resolutions.

Hi, what deps need to be installed for xmms/xmms-mplayer in order for it to work.
Trying to get it up on an sl-6000 with the vanilla rom. Not ready to flash yet

6000 - Tosa / sl-6000

Hi \"me again\" did the install of OZ on your 6000 go ok ? About what size cf card would I need to put it on ? I\'m completely new to zauri (but a semi-seasoned linux hacker). How do you get to the command terminal with the stock sharp rom ? I really want to install apps that I generally use on linux at home, like xmms, and so on.

So how does one get access to the terminal command prompt on this thing (New to zaurus, not to linux) ?
Also ... v8esprit, any luck hunting down usb type A mini to type A regular cables (that\'s what\'s required) ? Also need a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor for the headphones

Which rom would one suggest for an sl-6000 ?
I\'m pretty much a linux propeller head, but up to this point, not on a pda.
The retail rom will definitely stay for a while, but what are the differences say between that and OZ and pdaxrom. Does qt generally mean qtopia ? If I understand it correctly it sits on top of some rom. What other desktop environments are there ? Can I install a different rom on a CF card and boot from that ? what size CF/SD would I need (I suppose I\'d need more for pdaxrom since it uses x11, jah ?). Anybody ever got that rtm-8000 gsm/gprs thingy to work on linux ? ...

Anyone care to guess at the release date of the d model. wifi standards change too often to invest in the L (course the 400 mhz processor probably can\'t keep up with 802.11G). Anyone know how much diff 128 megs vs. 64 makes. Watching mpeg4 e.t.c..
