General Discussion / First ipq built ~:" couple of issues outstanding
« on: February 17, 2004, 12:27:26 pm »
somehow I got this (jeode) ipq functioning....

2 issues remain:

1  Howto get rid of this bogus error message?

This ipq is base on a previous version, if I tar -zxvf it then rebuild with ipkg-build.sh I get this error:

\"The extract of some files are [sic] failed. This application may not execute normally. When you cannot operate the application, please remove it. OK\"

though it works fine... I use debian file \'2\'. CONTROL containing control and home containing rest ]] data.tar.gz

2  The maintainer added 2 files libfs.so and fs.jar which appear to provide additional but not essential functionality. How can I find out more about these files? they aren\'t in clear text.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / 750: gcc >> ipk
« on: February 14, 2004, 08:18:49 am »
Is it realistic to compile on a 750? There does seem very little rom....

I\'d really like to write a basic introduction.

Is there something (joe) that i could compile in say 20 minutes?

and then convert to ipk in another 5 minutes?

http://www.ossh.com/zaurus/mirrors/docs.za...pkg_howto.shtml
though there is an even simpler introduction somewhere, damn, saw it yesterday.....

also:

\" i will try to write a totally newbies guide to setting up a developement enviroment up and to compile a small sdl game\"

would be a great asset, how is this turning out?

Zaurus - pdaXrom / calibration of screen
« on: January 29, 2004, 06:51:53 am »
OK I read the howto, but whatever I do, eg 3 efforts its way off.

it even seems different when selecting applications to when whithin one.

clues please? is this peculiar to me?

but a great biG WOW! installed GIMP immediately and it runs sweetly, but needs screen callibration to work.

how about the SVG enabled version anyone?

thanks again, an amazing job well done!
