i pluggin in my headphones but both speakers and headphones playin sounds    and i cant change volume from mixer or player, is there any fix for it?

Try using alsamixer from the command line.

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Ipkg Tmp Packages Location

It should download and extract them somewhere under /tmp, which is mounted as a tmpfs (in RAM).

I notice that /var is rebuilt everytime that the Z boots up. Is there a way of setting it perminatly to a directory on the sd card?

yes that works fine with openzaurus on a 3100 with dropbear.

DOH!  I just answered my own question, removed openssh-sshd and reinstalled dropbear.

restarted and dada, xforwarding works.

yes that works fine with openzaurus on a 3100 with dropbear.

Hentges uses openssh

I tried your method no dice

I thought it may be something to do with the sshd_config file because, when I echo display after using -Y

I get:

tenchi:~ darmou$ ssh -Y -l root collie
root@collie's password:

root@collie:~# echo $DISPLAY

with the 3100  I get
localhost:10.0

I'm having problems with getting openssh with the latest snapshot of the hentges.rom to work with x forwading.  


I use ssh -Y collie to get to my zaurus.

I've changed the User agent string for Dillo 0.8.6 so that os news renders correctly for a PDA screen.  It may also affect other sites as well.

Where does this patch get sent to the OpenEmbedded bug tracker under enhancements?

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Is Sound Enabled By Default On An Sl-c3200?

I'm using GPE 3.5.4.1 on an SL-C3200. I've used the Japanese ROM from openzaurus-ja.

Now I'm trying to play some mp3s or oggs and though they play in mplayer and xmms, there is no sound.

So I'd like to know whether the sound works out of the box on an SL-C3200 and thus that odds would be that the openzaurus-ja install would be messed up and I should reinstall.

Or do I need to install additional stuff to hear things on my SL-C3200?

Try using alsamixer and unmuting things.

Ok been testing out the phoneme package:

however when I try to run an example:
[root@spitz:/media/card/home/root] # cvm -cp democlasses.jar personal.DemoFrame java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /usr/local/lib/libqtawt.so

I assume this is because i do'nt have libqt installed?

This post in the Sun java forum seems to confirm;

I want to get a better keymap too. Perhaps BeKind and I can synchronize our work.

One question: where is there a reference for the names of control keys and for such stuff as cut, past, copy, pageup, etc?

Here is my collie keymap the callendar key is now the control key:
to be stored in:

Mac Issues / Apple Opensource Annoucements

In order to encourage community participation, source code to the new iCal Server in Leopard Server is now available on Mac OS Forge under the Apache License.*

Looks like dhns will now be able to plug in to this new architecture and make it easier to do sync solutions.
