I'm not sure if you can use the zaurus to run applications like Office. However I do know you can use a pdf reader for e-books, xmms to play music and videos, Opera/Konqueror to surf the web and a few applications to check your email.
Again, I don't know if you will be able to sinc Outlook to your zaurus. Zaurus is *nix based system and you might know that Outlook runs on Win 32 based systems. So you might find some incompatibility there.

 Good luck and post updates.

Ahh, about a ROM, I think Opie will suit your needs.

Thanks lardman, however the commands I know, but I can't execute none of them.

Finally I got to connect to the FTP server, however it seems that no commands are enabled.
No "ls", nothing. Not even help to see the commands that I can use.
Any tips on that? And how can I put files into my zaurus and copy from it?

 Thanks.

I'm using DHCP. so my wireless router releases the IP.

 On Wireless Configuration I have:
 General Tab:
 Mode: managed
 SSID: my router's connection name
 MAC: my zaurus mac address

 Encryption Tab:
Key1: I have the key generated by my router.
 Non ecrypted packets: Accept

 TCP/IP Tab:
 DHCP enabled

Anyway, I don't think these settings matter, becasue when you use Wellenreiter, it asks you to disable DHCP(if you have running). So you don't actually use any of those settings from your Network Settings Tab.
And once you close Wellenreiter, it says "your wireless card should be usable again".

Yeah, I have wellenreiter and Kismet. Both running like a charm.
It's weird that sometimes I try to connect to a network that wellenreiter found (keyless) and my Network Application can't connect to it.

Man I hope you're not in the states...   Anyway wep or wpa isn't the only security measure on wireless networks.  They could also be using a captive portal network, or mac authintication.

Belive me, if my condo's neighboors knew about mac authentication, then they would for sure enable wep on ther home routers.

Ok, I can use raw connections on my Putty to access port 4242 on my zaurus. However it won't let me login.
Also, when I scan my zaurus for open ports, I don't get port 4242 as open. Is that right?

I don't want a FTP client. I can just use tftp(busybox) to transfer files.
I was wondering if I can run a FTP server on my Zaurus.
